I don't think they will "suck" per se. I think they'll win 8-10 games but they'll finish 4th place in their division and miss the playoffs.
Good news is it's squamous cell carcinoma in a lymph node and caught early, stage 1-2. If it was say, pancreatic or lung cancer, it'd be quite grave indeed
you never know though, Flip Saunders was about the same age, got hodgkins lymphoma and was expected to be okay, then the chemo came and .....boom, within months he was a dead man.... some people just don't react favorably to chemo

99.9% of the time, no, but this could be the year, if you look at the schedules... the NFC Best clearly is stacked and they have an extremely easy schedule outside of each other (as they all play the NFC East and AFC East, the two worst divisions in football).
Though I would admit that 8-8 or 9-7 is more likely for the 4th place team in the NFC Best. But this could be the outlier year, looking at the schedules.
