Lakers. Don’t choke much as 8 on 5 consistently helps but over-rated late Kobe choked many times despite a clutch rep. True clutch was Manu.

tbh that wasnt really a choke as opposed to just a legendary and borderline impossible performance. there really wasnt much better they could have done other than the turnover at the end, which was really funny looking tbh

but it was still amazing regardless

I remember seeing that live. Could not believe it.

I thought the Spurs played fairly good defense down the stretch and that Tmac just hit some incredible shots.

This was a choke. Mount Rushmore Coach. Bruce Lee Bowen on the perimeter. Jim anchoring the defense.

    Laker Phan,
Is that right? Spurs won the 2005 Championship.
How did Kirby do in the playoffs, you know one of those years when he didn't have an MVP level leader nor 8 on 5 refs?

Now their le defenses were a different story

They were not exactly Davy Crockett defending the Alamo when it came to le defense.

Actually, they kind of were. As in, they tried and busted their butts but lost anyway, just like Davey Crockett and the Alamo.

    Crockett was an underdog, though

The 2004 and 2006 SA teams really had no business losing, imo. They were stacked with prime Duncan and budding Parker/Manu. Best coach in the business. You could argue similarly for the 2015 team.

I've always felt like they just lacked a greedy mentality and it showed in their le defenses.

I remember that game. I was so confused at what happened. I was like wtf? Did we just lose? Kinda fitting though that Tmacs career moment came in the regular season

Definitely the highlight of T-mac's career but it also helped make the Spurs a better team. They won the championship that season. Good defense down the stretch T-mac was just on fire.
