I agree that a thinner Parker is that much better for us. I'm still distressed that he tried to play so much hero ball even when he was fat though.

He doesn't even have to return to his 2013 form, and I think that's unrealistic anyways. He just needs to not be a minus player. His dribble, dribble, dribble then throw up a contested jump shot from last season needs to disappear. Just play in the system and knock down your open looks. Don't be the hero. Thankfully LMA will be the #1 option this year so that should take some pressure off him immediately.

This right here. I actually think 2013 Parker is a terrible fit on the current Spurs. He just needs to facilitate more and like you said, shoot when he's open. The Spurs have too many weapons to settle for the Tony Parker system.
