could work if they were good players (which is not the case)

he's been doing the same garbage for a couple years in a row now.. you have the longest athletes of any team, and you decide to go small to match up with the opponent's pace. It has NEVER worked out.

Not fair. Can't even criticize Forbes in that situation. ^
This image perfectly represents the Spurs roster build since Kawhi's injury in WCF or when he isn't on the court in general...
“Makes me wet every time!”
4 consecutive possessions, too
IIRC, they weren't even forced switches by the Warriors..Pop playing 4D chess..
Pops not done. He has gotten the most out of this roster. Just not enough offense to combat the league. Have look at our second ppg player. It's gay, off the bench, missing a bunch of time this season. Take AD for example. He gets Cousins for half the season and on top of that has Holiday avg 19ppg. Yet they were one game off from us. Pop did the best as a coach, but as executive and bufford really blew the off season. Just too much dead weight. Taking on Gay when we already had TP coming back from injury. That's two guys needing injury management. Then Leonard injury management happened. Plus Manu and Gasol gets minute restrictions due to age. Plus too many one way players. Forbes, Mills, Paul, Bertans, and to lesser extent Green. Udoh said during pre season that the spurs guards all had different abilities, like they were specialists. Forbes was our shooter. Paul was our defender. Mills was our spark plug. Manu was our vet. Green was out 3 and D guy. Problem is, you can't have that today. You need more complete 2 way players. And some of those guys were not that good our their speciality.
Pops biggest mistake this season, apart from the Leonard fiasco, which no one outside the organisation knows what the is going on, was not playing White, who deserved minutes over Forbes and relieve some from Manu, Parker and Mills.
Pop is the main responsible for the roster, so if he believes a roster consisting of one-dimensional dwarves, slow players and d-leaguers that's all about him, he failed in construction of roster in the last off season, the fact that SA have a good record shows what a good coach he is (or how the league is mediocre) , but the flaws on the roster were there at the beginning of the season and will be there until he decides to change something
^^Pop controls the personnel moves..he built a team to play the style he wants, I don't know how anybody can give him a pass for that..
The Spurs were 2-6 without Aldridge and had a bottom-ranked offense without him..there was nothing impressive about Pop's coaching job outside of blindly looking at the Spurs record..
Don't let all the pointless Kawhi threads distract you from what a senile POS this guy is
Anyone who defends this got's rotations tonight shouldn't be taken seriously ever.
Hope him and Forbes have a good tonight and catch AIDS.
Bump. Was just reading a post of Pop ballwasher trying to spin that the criticism came about after the Big 3 retired...
This thread was started when the Big 3 were still around. Tim would retire a month later.
Can’t believe it’s going to be 5 years since this thread was made and we’re still talking about this...
Mr “get over yourself” can’t seem to do it himself
Pop's ego is too big that I think he really is obsessed with proving to people he can win without Duncan. I also believe he's still coaching because with his wife now being deceased his life has no meaning outside of basketball.
Sadly I think this could be true
He’s last man standing from the glory years. Be sad to see him go but I think his time has come.
I still ask myself that question
Any nudes released of your female coach yet?
