we need a 7 minute video for this?
-lack of high end talent
-archaic "stars"
-bad coaching
-poor fitting roster
-lack of shooting
-terrible defense
-no real SFs
seems pretty obvious

Marco belly playing more than 0 minutes
Bryn Forbes playing more than 20 minutes
Demar DeRozan
Murray and white not playing together
Carroll warming the bench
Lonnie walker going from 20 minutes to dnp
The only 3 and D player they have to guard wings is demarre carroll and pop doesn't even play him. ing pathetic
The 2 main reasons are in the thumbnail of the video
We play our worse players over our better players. Pretty clear cut tbh. Also we have gone 3 years without a SF
Yup, it's really not that hard.
Pop the coach
To ing liberal
Pop needs to retire
Pop needs to go. Anybody but Becky Hammon tbh.
We WUV our team! GO SPURS GO!!! -- spurstalk
Damn, that's a good list.
And an even shorter list that still hits the main points.
out of touch front office
the head coach either does not care about winning enough or does not understand what needs to be done to win more
unattractive city for young ballers
Lack of high end talent?
I'd argue that Murray and Walker have high end talent that haven't put it all together consistently in actual results.

fify tbh
Davis is also on a losing team, buddy.
Also, Morris is a better all around player than Davis and wouldn't have gotten smoked so badly by Millsap that Pop had to bench him.
Losing Davis was huge, especially when the guy who ended up replacing him isn't nearly as good from 3, but the lack of a true SF, not drafting in the lottery for 20+ years, LaMarcus badly regressing on defense (and overall) & him being a poor fit beside DeMar are bigger culprits.
Pop doing a ty job of managing his rotations and player roles is stuff anyone could point out.
The worst part is the team isn't "completely out of the playoff picture" (paraphrasing) like coach Nick claims, but only out by a few games. The last thing the team needs is another 7th or 8th seed, Pop trying to "run it back" again and losing out on finally, finally starting to acquire lottery talent (which also means more young, potential filled assets).
Lyles plays at Bertans' position. Gay used to be our main 3 pt threat. We used to stop any pick&roll and now I know even more - coach Nick is better than coach Pop...another ing priest from 3-pt church...
In order of importance:
Lack of general defensive stance. Lately it’s been better coming from the 2nd unit. 1st unit has to catch up
No fight from our 2 former stars, mopping and worst they choke on the line. Better mental preparation and commitment to win
Pop insisting on Forbes/Mills/Beli combinations. Sacrifice on defense. Spurs cannot outscore mentality. It should start with stops
Walker not playing enough minutes. He electrifies the crowd and infectious to other players
Caroll not playing at all. He could provide the defensive spark and occasional 3’s
Gay not hitting his shots. He just needs to better prepare
I agree with missing Bertans as better spacer than any of our players, plus his better close out and help defense
Demar should commit to getting better shooting 3’s and better defense. Leave the at ude at the door
Aldridge must establish low post early, but requires open shooters to hit higher percentage
Roster construction was not Pop/RC fault. But Pop has to trust his young guns who seem to have the answer
Just dig deep and never give up on winning
What is wrong with the San Antonio Spurs is a culmination of the big 3 retiring and #2's made move to force his way out of town. Huge talent drain. Our two so called stars are seriously flawed. Too many one dimensional guards, no starting caliber SF, etc... I do see hope in Murray, Walker, and White, and to a lesser degree in Poeltl though.
Considering that republicans are always Fcking the country over, I’d say that this is an asset.
The problem is the "go to guys", LA and DeRozan just aren't superstars, but they think they are. I think they would be good secondary stars on teams with true stars.
I do think Pop needs to continue to play them to prop them up before the trade deadline. Hopefully, they both get traded and Pop goes young in the second half of the season. More Lonnie Walker please!
Yup..I'll never understand PATFO's desire to trade Bertans to get any combo of Carroll or Morris...especially Morris a known loser headcase.
That should have been the warning sign this season was fubared
The league is just better coached now.
Spurs coaching has regressed with the loss of assistant coaches.
Aldridge and DeRozan don't have a clutch gene.
The Bertans loss was big. His presence would have meant we would win at least 5 more games. We should have a .500 record at 7th place.
