Pau would be nice in Diaw's spot.

If Tim/Manu retire, ship Diaw's partially guaranteed contract to the Hawks to re-acquire Tiago then sign Pau & use the left over money for a Manu replacement (Courtney Lee/Mayo?). Assuming D-West opts-in, he can backup LMA & PATFO can go after a mobile big/stretch 4 like Jon Leuer who can be had for cheap.
If Tiago is healthy, reacquiring him could be awesome. If he isn't, then no. If the Spurs are willing to incentivize the exchange, Diaw can bring back something more important.

I like him, but it's not like Aldridge is a reference as a rim protector.

I see Frye as a stretch BIG. I'm ok with this pairing as long as they're not the starters. I love him as an option, not as our starting C.

Not sure who we could pursue, but I prefer an authentic rim protector, someone that really intimidates people from driving to the rim, like Gobert or Bogut. I know it's almost impossible to find those guys for cheap, but those are the kind of players that I'd like to see starting with Aldridge.
The only proven elite defender that can be had is Noah & Frye isn't much better than Jon Leuer.

As an NBA fan, I hope the Grizzlies and Hawks blow their rosters up, tbh..I hate watching middling teams running in circles..

He will have an expiring contract & Pau is going to play starters minutes. There is also a chance Hibbert could sign a 1 yr contract to play the Boban role.

Maybe Miami is giving Bird Man and some incentive to save money? They're pretty much done this year anyway.

Tony Allen is definitely getting moved, most likely back to his hometown (Chicago).

That's the incentive. And it's not incentive for Roberts, who's not very good. It's going to be to get rid of whoever they're including for the salary.

EDIT: Glad that got cleared up.

Miami gives up: two 2nd round picks, Chris Andersen
    Miami gets: Brian Roberts

Charlotte gives up: Brian Roberts, PJ Hairston
    Charlotte gets: Courtney Lee

    Memphis gives up: Courtney Lee
Memphis gets: PJ Hairson, Chris Andersen two 2nd round picks from Miami

Think that's how it's going down.

Short term rental b/c of the MKG injury, Charlotte isn't going to re-sign him so it increases the chance of PATFO scooping him up during the off-season.

That's solid. I think the Heat are going to keep looking for deals to get that cap number even lower. It's really a shame how far McRoberts has fallen. I was really envious of the Heat last summer for getting him with the MLE.
