But there are a panoply of non-medical measures which, when complied with concurrently (and especially when combined with a robust public health system and rapid testing) greatly reduce the spread of the disease and *might* (Hong Kong) render shelter in place orders unnecessary.

(China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, New Zealand, Senegal and Germany are countries which have been relatively successful in keeping caseloads, morbidity and deaths low ).

If I say Trump has earned a bad end by his own words and deeds, it does not necessarily follow that I want him to die. Like I said, I prefer that Donald Trump live so that he can experience the humiliation of losing to Biden and the shame of being an historic failure as president.
