Are.you starting from your assumptions and back-engineering a corrupt scheme, or is there something in particular that caused you to believe in it?
Going on hunch as big breaches such as these have been inside jobs (e.g., Walkers, Hanssen).
Knowingly or unknowingly, trump has made numerous leadership selections in his administration and some were very questionable.
Not outside the scope of reality that foreign intelligence agencies could have received support in getting keys/access to these agencies from one of these appointees (e.g., placing devices to listen to communications, providing access to encryption devices).
This was a major breach.
There would be no need for a breach if Trump were "giving" Russia information.
High level stuff, probably.
But russians are interested in knowing about who is doing what, what they plan on doing, how they are doing it, and what agencies know about them.
Too much work for trump.
But favor of getting an appointee in key position would be better.
