Looks like a kindergarten student drawing, ahhh nephew. Never woulda thought he would turn into suck a ass hat. Good riddance.

I agree with Nike on this. Nike perfected the design with Kawhi signing off. Kawhi/Uncle Dennis again acting tactless greedy. I hope Nike wins and awarded damages
Kawhi could always print his old sketch, but not the perfected version.
In wonder how this will go. The KL pattern that is part of the original design is also apparent in the final design. Not sure how much that will help Nephews argument.
Yup but the finished product was a collaborated design which Kawhi signed off, no longer his. He could print his original sletch, goodluck to that.
It'll be ing hilarious if he loses his suit and Nike wins their's. I don't get why he didn't just try to buy the design from Nike outright instead attempting underhanded bull . Oh yeah, Uncle Dennis....
It's really a boring, ty logo.
Patent was awarded to Nike. They would not back down. Kawhi/Uncle Dennis made a terrible move. I hope this one hits them flat in the face.
Is that DMC's hand?
Same crayon color he used for his goodbye letter, tbh...
Nike is going to win this. Ask the McDonald's brothers how copyrights and patents work out for people who have the original ideas versus people who get the legal ownership on paper first.
Exactly.
That's gold! errr… blue.
Not if Nike can prove that Kawhi signed over all rights to Nike as they claim back when they perfected the logo.
You see Mr. Leonard, there's thing called a "contract".
Lord, please allow Kawhi's sketch to become his new logo. <insert praying dog .jpeg>
Judges do around. If there is any kind of gray area at all, they'll let the lawyers fight it out.
Almost exactly what I said here before. If Kawhi had gone to an artist and commissioned a logo, it would belong to him. Nike designed the logo, using their artist, for product they were selling. The fact that he had some input is beside the point. Nike never had to get Kawhi to sign anything giving them permission to use the logo on their products, because it belongs to them. They may reach some settlement, but Kawhi loses this one if it goes to court.
On the bright side, if Kawhi ever decides to market a line of L2 gear to kindergarteners, he's already got the logo for it.
I don't see how Nike's version is anywhere close to this. The only similarity is that it's a hand.
But was it written in Comic Sans?
it is insane that he thinks he has ownership of the actual logo... a legit graphic designer made something good out of a 3 year old level scribble.... like, that is legit worse than a child tracing their hand and making a turkey drawing for thanksgiving
