I mean, yeah,i get it.Wishing an injury to the Spurs best player the last two years just to go from 18th pick to 14th pick makes you one of the greatest supporters this franchise has rooting for them!
18th to 14th pick can mean all the difference between a lonnie walker and a kawhi leonard.

This thread should be retired. Spurs are clearly not tanking this year. They're going for it, even if it means making the playoffs and getting *maybe* to the 2nd round.

Thread's not about tanking. Tankathon is a Web site with a consistently updating mock draft. The thread's a relevant as it ever was, and it will continue to be so until draft night.

I ran the lotto function on the website when the Spurs were under .500 and they got the first pick...it was cool.

I like tankathon. Watching Capela makes me want the Spurs to draft Gafford or Fernando with the Raptors pick.

Clippers will tank to miss the playoffs to keep their draft pick.

The Spurs aren't missing the playoffs.
The Clippers aren’t tanking. They said they want to make the playoffs. Montrezl Harrell was on ESPN all star week and said the leaders went to the front office and agreed to try to make the playoffs.

Perfect time tbh. Then again this upcoming draft sucks so tanking won't really amount to much. Maybe they can package the lottery pick with LMA to get back a bag of chips?

James Wiseman or Cole Anthony will be the #1 overall pick. Anthony Edwards will likely go Top-4. LaMelo Ball will be Top-7. The rest of the lottery I’m not crazy about tbh. The top-15 of this draft is very guard-heavy too.

Pop keeps holding on to his precious vets, and they will be in the lottery.

I think its' inevitable either way, but its mind boggling how Pop believes what he's doing now is giving this team their best chance.

Spurs win projection: 25.6 wins, 3 games behind Phoenix (8th) out West.

Per CTG, the Spurs are playing like a 32.5 win team.

Draft projection via Tankathon: 5th pick with 9% chance at number 1 overall pick.

    Toughest schedule left in league

If pop is still here, the draft will not matter, whoever we get will be going to the g league for a couple of years at least.

I really like Precious Achiuwa if we get a lottery, non-#1 pick. Fills a huge need as a true SF, athletic, nice touch around the rim, good shot and midrange (haven't seen him shooting many 3's yet sadly) and can actually dunk a basketball, which is a concept the current Spurs roster seems to have forgotten or collectively phased out of their game.

Seems fitting we would draft a guy named Precious.

We already have Bryn, Patty, Gay and the stylings of Demarre Carroll. Just pile on.

Well tbh, my dream would be for none of those players to be on the roster when we pick Precious, someone's gotta carry the mantle... lol
