WTF
All the fast food chains that claim to have "Ground beef" in the food use maybe 30-60% of real meat from Taco Bell to Wendy's
You have to have a death wish to eat fast food.

Newsflash : none of the food you eat is 100% legit
Are you dead ?
No
But we can certainly help you with that
What part of this is not real?
who is "we"?Are you dead ?
No
But we can certainly help you with that
All of us

What's the big deal?
"trace amounts."
It's not like they are buying beef designed to have it in. The processing equipment simply cannot be cleaned 100%v between usages. Ever notice how some foods will say something like "may contain traced of peanuts" or something similar?
Now European standards are probably different in many ways to USA FDA standards, but I don't think such a disclaimer needs to be made saying " may contain traces of horse meat. processed on equipment that also processes horse meat."
Why don't I think that?
Because I don't think that anyone who can eat beef is allergic to horse.
“Four samples recently taken from the Silvercrest plant have shown the presence of very small trace levels of equine DNA… we have established that Silvercrest used a small percentage of beef imported from a non-approved supplier in Poland. This is a clear violation of our specifications, and we have terminated our relationship with them.”
BEGGERS cant be choosers...
in some fkn countries, eating rodents is more expensive then ur traditional beef/pork meat...stupid
This isn't some god damn 3rd world country like Australia though, this is America the greatest nation on earth!
Horse meat is consumed regularly around the world.
It wouldn't be my choice meat, but I wouldn't scoff it either.
I was listening to a story about this on the way home yesterday and they were saying that it was likely that they were putting the horsemeat in there because it is more red and makes people think they are getting more meat (instead of fat). Also, that, ironically these burgers (which could be up to 30% horse meat in some cases) were far healthier due to the lower fat content. LOL
Also, some of the beef contained pork too.
Well...
Seems to me that such practices would cons ute more than "trace" levels, which is all the OP is claiming.
The OP concentrated on burger king. The 30% was in a patty at tesco.
So you agree then, the focus shouldn't be on Burger King?
They got their beef from the same place as tesco/et al. They are just as much a part of it as the others. With that being said, the blame rests pretty squarely on silvercrest.
Sure hate to think what people would think of me if I bought something I didn't contract for.
what do u guys think they do when the put down animals and ? = dog food
Regardless of what % of the meat is horse meat and if it is good for you ect.....the bottom line it's about Burger King lying to the public.
How many of you would spend 3,500 on a Diamond ring and find out later it's 60% glass your going to just say "oh well it still looks pretty"
It's about not telling people what they put in they're mouths is what they paid for.
Just like GMOs in the food supply
ok well unless you're gonna tell me who has the best bang for the buck I'm not interested in this thread
Is Burger King where the OP works now?
mouse u complaining about GM food?
wtf do you think ur country, where food is cheap to feed the mass, and readily available? thats because is grown 3x as fast as the traditional method and its all about turnover high volumes meeting the demand...
doubt the producers really gives a what they are making and selling, cause most of their revenue comes from govt subsidies to the farmers, so they will just continue to spew out into the market
even if u remove GM food from the chain, you still have ppl complaining about chemicals and spray onto them that no scientific research is enough to come to a conclusion that these chemicals have an affect on humans...
