Buford left open the possibility of Nikola moving over to the Spurs this season. If that doesn't happen, I'll update the le.
Have at it.

Definitely needs to put on some weight:
Will be apart of the "Why can't we rebound" "why do we get bullied in the paint" questions when he ultimately comes over and gets rocked by athletic bigs not found internationally
I doubt that he makes the final roster for Serbia's Eurobasket team with Marjanovic and Raduljica already occupying the center spots. Still it should be interesting to watch him along with Dangubic in some of their preparation games.
heard hes already added 25 # in last few mos (since some of his highlight reels circulating now)
How appropriate is it that RC would draft a player the Think Tank didn't even have a thread on?
They should put him on the summer league roster to see what he can do against Americans.
Very appropriate.
As one who created many of the think tank threads, I was looking for those mentioned at #26 and #55. I thought Milutinov was a reach at #26 and gone by #55.
It is also appropriate that there was no thread for Lalanne.
didn't know he has added some weight on him already
maybe another 10 - 15 lbs would be perfect?
In the same Boat as many others here - Didn't think of him as an option at 26, thought he'd be gone at 55, so didn't bother looking properly.
Looking at the DX videos, it's pretty easy to see a role in a Spurs system, on both sides of the ball - Make easy shots off passes/ and off the pick and roll, good offensive rebounder, sets NBA screens (Moving) and a 5th option jump shot - Needs to get better, though signs are there.
Defensively, Hedges well on P&R and some mobility to help contain, uses verticality without blocking shots.
Even his weaknesses are things the Spurs don't care about - a poor post game, (With Kawhi (and maybe LMA), hes's not exactly the #1 post option).
I get the role player potential.
If we sign LA we need some guys with cheap contracts. I think CoJo is gone and Bell..and probably Baynes. So I could see us actually bringing this guy in cause Duncan minutes are going to have to go down. The question i have is who do you think is a better player him or Caddy or W. Tavares?

I'd love to see him join the team and learn from LMA, Duncan, Diaw, possibly West... but I believe we need him to stay overseas just this year so we don't have his first round cap hold
It's actually not the easiest thing in the world to get that hold taken off. The Spurs usually don't have to worry about it, as they'll been over the cap for a dozen years. But you have to fax in a signed letter from the stashed player promising that they won't come over during that season. So if the Spurs are in desperate need for that $400k, they're going to have to move fast to get that paperwork sent in, and they're going to need Nikola's cooperation.
Last year Clint Cappela wouldn't let the Rockets off the cap hold when the Rockets were pursuing Bosh.
I don't think that would be a problem with Milutinov He is seriously hung up on Spurs and he will not do anything against them.
Any chance he could be our backup center this season?
RC Said he will stay in Europe in the interview.
Well, he is in SA so I would imagine they could talk about it.
So the Spurs could still sign him and bring him over? I thought he was under contract with his current team.
For future reference:
Enea Trapani @ETSportando
Panathinaikos scheduled a meeting to close the deal with Nikola Milutinov, source told Sportando.
Somewhere KBP is fapping vigorously.
