Duh
If I'm dead, I don't care about my organ damage.
So edgy

If I'm dead, I don't care about my organ damage.
so, why do you discount suffering, medical bankruptcy and chronic disability from COVID?
these outcomes are far more common than death.
Exactly.
Death cures all cares, pains and woes -- nothing to worry about.
YOLO.
Why are you so scared of dying?
I'm not. You're the one who posts panic porn daily and is afraid of kids going to school.
at the lack of self-awareness needed to post this.
it's not porn for me, it's just information.
I think people should be worried about sending kids to school right now. doesn't seem safe -- certainly not compared to last year, when we basically called off in person learning.
way more pediatric COVID/hospitalization now.
It'snot the same COVID. Viruses are moving targets
What's the panic porn I post?
I'm usually criticized for being too optimistic.
This isn't panic porn, it's a direct perspective from a Louisiana doc in a pediatric hospital. A big one.
So why is death the ony relevant metric or the most important one to you, DarrinS?
Why doesn't the exponentially greater incidence of organ damage and chronic disability count?
Speaking of organ damage, have you considered that COVID-19 infection may have left you with a cognitive deficit?
Even mild cases can result in loss of grey matter.

lol the end of this report. Biden admin saying they already beat covid-19 and delta is a new pandemic
no, that's straight news
dumb comment from Biden, must rankle you that he's the big dog now,
Not only vaccines. Treatments are key.
Now they know how to treat this and know which drugs and at what point they are most efficient. Id say just by treatment improvements we reduced deaths by 3x at least.
Vacvines. Hopefully they help to that extent as well at least. Vaccines are not the silver bullet but just another good weapon vs this.
They (islands) all have strict border control and still have had to go back into lockdowns. The aussies have the the army patrolling the streets to keep people inside their homes right now. So wtf are you talking about they haven't beaten
Its a different time. We know this virus for one year already and how to treat it. Last year we had no clue, also no vaccines to protect the weak.
Also kids have been locked at home for 1 year and a half already. Noone expected it to be this long. Time to make some tough choices and maybe risk a little more to let the kids be kids.
I know my nephews have been great but something is missing. They need to go back to school. We have treatments and vaccines to try to get this done.
Im not claiming this back to school in the fall will be a success but its worth a try.
Take a big chance and don't up.
Good luck.
Australia did well although they were basically locked down for 1 year. With strict enforcement and arrests/jailings.
Delta came in a took a on them. Now they are scrambling to vax. They are in for some rough times.
Delta has thrown a wrench on every single country. Including China
And the white house trying to convince ppl to take the shot w this
Delta isn't even the worst to come. We already know that there are single mutations that cause complete antibody escape. With the other HCoV's this happens every 3-5 years, we're coming up on year 2 for this virus. Thank God for memory T cells tho.
