Solid overall. Almost don't want more seasons unless they really have a plan. Going to be watching the nostalgia episode again; a lot of stuff going on in that.

Was better than expected. Lube Man was cool.

Didn’t like that the show took a stance on Ozy’s actions. Putting him in jail was a weak move writing-wise. Looking Glass’s arch started strong and fell flat, was expecting something more meaningful with him being the Rorschach of the timeline. don’t get why Will was absent for the end when he was the best character. Should’ve left Manhattan out of it or in the background, all knowing character like that has no motive to be mixed up in any of this storyline, and as a result Angela unmasking him and him getting caught was all forced.

but yeah, def a fun watch. Nothing stands to the source material in quality, but the Will’s origin story episode and Looking Glass’s episode were super great.

It was a ratings hit by any measure. Actually reading the article, USA Today may have jumped to a conclusion there. That said, I'm fine if that's the only season. It ended at a good spot and there would have to be one of a showrunner picking up from there.

Regina King did say if Lindelof wasn't attached to the show she wouldn't have taken the part because she doesn't "trust" another white dude to do them right.

Have you seen the show? It touches on core issues that the African American community has all the right talk about.

It has like an actual ending? Can't stand cliffhangers but would binge this if it was mostly a self-contained story

I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger, just an obvious link to a new season. I was pretty happy with it as is though more would be nice.

I started watching it and I was a little weirded out how it wasn't a straight adaptation. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

It's a sequel (with a lot of prequel material) to the comic more than the movie, but the differences aren't terribly great. If you know about the squid, you're good. As I said before, the premiere is so jam packed with new and different stuff it's a bit overwhelming-- but everything does get sussed out in due time. For that reason it really is best to binge while you can carry everything going on in your head. Episode 1 is rewatchable for its sheer audacity and episode 6 is rewatchable for all the detail you could never get completely in one viewing.

It's the best show of 2019. Absolutely essential viewing. Disappointed Lindeloff won't be back.

    Bold statement.

I can think of at least 2 shows better than this from the dome.

    1.Chernobyl
    2.Mr. Robot

In my opinion Watchmen loss a lot of steam midway through. I wasn't at all sad when I watched the last episode or that season 2 might not happen. I am sad about Mr. Robot having ended though.

As good as it was, it looked like Mr. Robot producers cheaped out on that last season by killing off major characters so they wouldn't have to pay them as much. I thought it ended when it should have.

Haven't caught up on Mr Robot yet. Chernobyl was really good and certainly makes a case, though I still think the English was a copout.

A lot more to it than that, maybe you should watch it instead of getting your opinions from the bowels of the internet to support your tired schtick.

i can see how people would have a problem with the last 1 or 2 episodes of Watchmen but overall I enjoyed it.

I'm sad it's over bc it was a fun world we could have learned more about, more looking glass centric episodes would have been dope, but I respect the decision to leave it be.
