NBA will release its national TV schedule for the first week of the regular season, Christmas and MLK Day on Wednesday at 2 PM.
Over/under on whether the Spurs get to play Toronto on Christmas Day?
DeRozan spoke with Sportsnet 650 Vancouver about his first visit back to face his former team, and already has the date etched into his memory.
“I know the date. The date is in my head,” DeRozan said. “It’s definitely going to be one of those moments when, walking into the visitor’s locker room, going in a different way, seeing all the people that you’ve known over the years. It’ll definitely be different.”
Just channel that correctly homie...
That's what matters.
I hope they do, assume it would be in San Antonio. If so I will definitely be in attendance. Been a few years since I've been to a Christmas day game. Believe the last one was when we played the Rockets on Christmas day, think that may have been 2014 actually.
Sigh. Why do I have this feeling Spurs will only get opening night game. Rockets, LA, GSW, Sixers will probably have a game. Maybe Milwaukee and Utah. Raptors vs Spurs would be a juicy match up too.
Spurs/Raptors game is a Christmas game no doubt.
I wonder if Spurs will announce new uniforms
Question is what's the juicier storyline between DeRozan going home to Toronto or Leonard coming to SA.
Clearly the more hostile reaction will be the latter which makes me think the league would rather showcase the applause that DeRozan gets in Toronto.
Idk. A lot of people might be satisfied to see Kawhi get massively booed. Plus no offense to DeRozan but only Raptors fans probably thought of DeRozan as a true superstar.

A vintage dose of Celtics/Sixers, Giannis and the Bucks at MSG against the Knicks and (you guessed it) LeBron's Lakers in Oakland to face the Warriors are the highlights of the NBA's Christmas Day schedule that will be announced Wednesday afternoon, league sources tell @NYTSports

The last two games should involve Rockets for sure. If it was my choice: Rockets vs Utah, Spurs vs Toronto.

Portland Trail Blazers will face the Utah Jazz on the road in one of the five Christmas Day games, league sources tell ESPN.
According to Jabari Young's sources, Spurs won't be playing on Christmas. I have a feeling that the Spurs will be in the top 5 of franchises with the least amount of nationally televised games next year. ESPN, ABC, and TNT don't want them on the schedule.
League got sick of Spurs/Kawhi/trade drama.
And that checks off Donavan Mitc and Rubio against Lillard and McCollum.
Guess DeMar and LaMarcus aren't interesting enough.
Can't miss the battle of PG13 and Westbrook against Harden and Mr. State Farm
No ing way the NBA skips the opportunity to monopolize on Kawhi vs Spurs. Mark it down.
Opening night most likely.
Yea but Christmas day games are the biggest regular season games and it looks like they skipped the Spurs again. Oh wells. I'm sure the Spurs and staff are happy they get Christmas off lol.
Spurs just boring to the league. Face it. They want them to miss the playoffs and be irrelevant so badly. They've been waiting for this a very long time. That's the feeling I get.
No one wants to watch a 2pt shooting team led by DD and LMA.
wow lets sign a pe ion and email nba.com this is absurd wow
