I'm always honest unless I'm blatantly trolling. Why don't you just admit this is a partisan smear job because the GOP ed Garland? I mean it's pretty ty what the Dems are doing but then again the GOP was pretty ty for doing what they did so I can't (and haven't) complained about the tactics. What I don't understand is why some of you feel the need to play along with your team on a sports forum where you have absolutely zero chance of changing anyone's mind.
Ok, Bill Clinton
But but but it was just a little white lie:
Kamala set his ass up for perjury.
I wouldn't call it a smear job since I'm not certain who is telling the truth between Ford and Kavanaugh. Obviously the timing is to back against the GOP since that's the precedent they established with Garland. I was calling out cd98 because he previously insisted to me that Kavanaugh wasn't the political hack he proved himself to be today with his Clinton conspiracy theory.
I say 95% chance Kavanaugh gets confirmed with Sasse and Flake looking like sure yes votes. I didn't see if Corker asked any questions but I can't imagine him ever getting a backbone against Trump. So it's on Collins + Murkowski to both vote him down. I doubt it.
Jeff Snowflake could be key:
He sure sounded like a yes in his one minute.
Sasse is definitely a yes. But I think Flake is on the fence still. He ended up saying we'll always have that doubt. That's not really a vote of confidence given that he's said from the start he wants an investigation or whatever.
Corker is a got so dont count on that .
Nice show that was totally unnecessary
Fake news
I expected him to be confirmed with 51 votes or denied with <= 40 votes. Sasse, Corker, Flake could have voted no and probably peeled away er's vote and a few others, but that doesn't look very likely. What looks likely is either everyone on the GOP side votes yes and he's confirmed 51-49, or perhaps Collins is given the ok to vote no so Pence can cast the vote to confirm 51-50.
