YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great ending, perfect night
I knew they weren't going to get it. You can't do that everytime and expect defenses to still fall for it. They should have given Cam the chance to do it by either air or ground. Call a pass play and let Newton chose the best option.
They should have run the Philly Special. Or just handed it to lynch
What the was that. Never had a chance
Greg Olsen fronted them the opening TD, sponsored by James White's dead parent(s)
In all honestly that was a uva performance, wire to wire, by Newton against a SB contender with a bunch of defensive playmakers. 30 points (really 23 by Newton with little help from the running backs) was excellent.
Every single Patriots-Seahawks game in the Wilson era going down to the 1 yard line on the last play.... that has to be some kind of sports statistical anomaly.
Bend over, I’ll ing run the Philly Special.
Newton accounted for 444 of the Patriots 464 yards. MVP
Agreed. Newton was a beast tonight. Patriots are winning the division. Buffalo is still trash. They'll lose to the Rams next weekend and will be quickly forgotten.
Should have either went quarterback sneak with a dive or jump over center or play action. They had a slick play action 1 yard touchdown pass earlier in the game but maybe the Seahawks would have been ready for it the second time but they could have run something similar play action wise
Carolina looks 0-2
Heck, I know you ain't gonna like this Millennial_Messiah but Josh Allen should be ahead of Rodgers in the MVP race right now.
Allen - 729 yds - 70% com - 6 TDs - 0 int
And still clutch af in the 4th quarter, something he’s always been despite the crappy starts in the past. He only ran it 2-3 times today, but the biggest moment for me was when they were up 24-20 with 3 minutes left and a 3rd and 9 at midfield, dolphins had one timeout remaining. Easy run (or screen at the most) call, yet they trusted him to sling it for the kill shot. To me that’s the biggest indicator of QB success in this league: what your coaches trust you with on 3rd and long. Been watching the NFL for over 30 years, and that metric (for lack of a better word) never fails.
He will still make some stupid mistakes, especially against stiffer compe ion, but if you can’t see how he’s grown by leaps and bounds each year then your willfully ignorant.
Btw, Brandon Beane...make sure he never leaves Buffalo
Bills/Patriots matchups are gonna be great games this year tbh
Cam looks a lot better than I thought he was after being so banged up in recent years.
