but it is still a useful example of how difficult these situations are and how readily police will fire off multiple rounds. it gives the nation pause to reflect on just how they want peace officers to react to dangerous situations.
when one has personally witnessed police officers actually taking the time and effort in searing heat to defuse a situation without guns for 2 1/2 hours there is hope that things can be done correctly with no one getting hurt and the perp going to jail
May be Awards and recognition could be given and highly publicized for diffusing very dangerous situations peacefully. That’s a really tough gig
