Memphis at home opening night. Cleveland at home on Christmas.
Now that a lot of moves have been made, including some big ones like spurs landing lma, who plays on opening night and Xmas?? Didn't have the spurs playing on opening night at first but now they almost have to be after landing Aldridge. I say it'll be spurs vs the champs or cavs, or maybe even okc. Book it!
Memphis at home opening night. Cleveland at home on Christmas.
OKC for opening and GSW for xmas
I bet the Spurs won't play opening night.
@ Golden State for the opener
@ Clippers for Xmas
It's all about optics when it come to NBA publicity and gravitas.
All the Spurs' les never got it -- now they have it.
Winning in FA means more than winning the "chip" to the star-making machinery.
The Spurs will get more glamour time slots than usual.
But it doesn't necessarily translate to more les. Just ask the much-hyped Lakers of '04 (Payton, Malone, Shaq and Kobe) or the Kobe-Nash-Howard Lakers later on.
I would be surprised if Clippers/Mavs isn't one of the games for Christmas.
Nobody wants to see the mavericks play on christmas
Everybody plays on Christmas now, though.
@ Clippers opening night- LA & DJ where the 2 biggest free agency stories. You better believe the NBA going to cash in on that while free agency is still fresh on everyone's mind. Not to mention was the best series this past post season.
VS OKC on Christmas- The Spurs only real in conference rival at the moment. Always seems to be some bad blood every time these teams play. Great mid day game.
Cleveland and GS will play on Christmas. Thunder and SA maybe.
At golden state for X-mas.
At home against Houston for the opener.
prob Clips and Mavs, but I don't think Cuban even cares anymore. In fact, I think he is keeping this up to keep a buzz around that social media site that he keeps posting on. He is trying to attract future users and this all reeks of a ploy to exploit fans based on the Jordan drama. Basically, he saw the opportunity to turn it into a marketing tool and he's done just that. I hope people ignore it by then, but I doubt it.
Yep, my thoughts exactly
