Which is not nearly enough to acquire Aldridge.
Stein's not quite right here, I think Phoenix still has $6M to $8M.
Which is not nearly enough to acquire Aldridge.
How are the Mavs the front runners when they haven't even met with him yet
Damn, I forgot about Cleveland, they would ing love to dump Haywood for Bledsoe I would think. So Phoenix should be able to clear the money for Aldridge if he wanted to go there.
Houston or us are the only ones that make sense if he's set on leaving Portland. If he's really intent on winning a le, he'd be stupid to choose somewhere else.
Houston would have to clear out basically everyone besides Harden/Dwight to make room, but that would be one of a big 3.
Not returning to POR? That SPurs meeting must of been really persuading.
Bledsoe to Cleveland for Haywood's deal would clear enough though.
TD: "We don't need you but we'll have you"
I don't remember who he actually said that to but it was a some years back
Spurs were "frontrunners" before their meeting, breh.
But then going to Phoenix to play with Knight as the second option?
Casually posting.
Looking more like he's not coming.

Cavs somehow getting Bledsoe and LMA going to the Suns would be such a ty turn of eventsAccording to a person with knowledge of the situation, Chandler attended the Suns' meeting with the former Portland Trailblazers big man in Los Angeles. The unexpected development, according to the person, certainly peaked Aldridge's interest and may have improved the chances of a team that was otherwise seen as a darkhorse to land him. The Suns agreed to terms with point guard Brandon Knight on a five-year, $70 million deal not long before their meeting with Aldridge as well.
The Suns don't have the salary cap space to sign Aldridge to anywhere near the maximum salary contract he's expecting, meaning general manager Ryan McDonough would certainly have to make moves to bring him board. That approach could certainly involve point guard Eric Bledsoe, who agreed to a five-year, $70 million extension in September but is seen as available by rival executives.
5 years for 70 million? . Can the Cavs even afford that though?
They were frontrunners going into the meeting. They made a strong presentation and remain frontrunners. What don't you understand?
I mean like..that's it...all the details from that long ass meeting lol
Suns would have to decimate their team to get Aldridge. TBH, Cavs have Irving. They aren't going to spend $70 million on a back up point guard. Back to Suns. Chandler isn't really that great. Obviously, he wasn't good enough to make a difference for Dallas in the first round. He's inferior to Duncan. I just don't see why NBA writers treat him like he is a superstar. He's a good defensive center that is probably the 4th best player on a championship team.

Source says @aldridge_12 had very positive feelings about his meeting with the Spurs. He really liked their presentation

Chandler also is pretty old. I like him as a player but he's not some huge selling point. It's hard to see PHX as a challenger, either. They haven't even made the playoffs in a while and do stupid things like trade Dragic.
Well if it looks good, sounds good, and feels good, then it is probably good LA. Sign!
