Why are people acting like this players hitting these shots in these moments is the norm? Maybe I'm wrong, but last time I recall a moment like this was Steph hitting that shot against OKC in 2016. We need to change all these rules because of two incredible shots?

Only Steph and Dame have hit those shots consistently

For most players, it is a bad shot but if one can hit it consistently why not?

Pop would have benched his ass for 10 years tho

I'm surprised you are defending this kind of hero ballin'.. not sure how consistent he is taking those shots: he shot from the logo, that's almost an half court shot tbh... horrible but it works so yeah there is that

In his defense, he needed to make sure there was zero time left on the clock after the shot. His timing was perfect. Granted, he could have dribbled a few more times and then taken a stepback 3 (or a long 2), but then you risk getting stripped or blocked. He didn't trust the refs to blow the whistle on a drive.

I actually think he lost track of time for a few seconds. He probably was planning to get closer to the basket, but by the time he realized the clock, it was too late.

Either way, I'm glad it went in to end KC's season.

If you move the line back, the rich will just will get richer. The elite 3-pt. shooter's like Curry, Harden, and Lillard will continue to chuck from long distance. Curry can hit from 40 ft. in his sleep. You would actually be helping Curry because you are for stretching defenses further from the basket.

Meanwhile, the marginal shooters (guys who actually focus on other parts of their game) will be devastated. In the long run, young kids in college and AA will start practicing shooting from longer distance. It won't take long for newer players to adjust. The great shooter's will continue to be great shooters.
Maybe aside from the Curry's and Klay's of the world at least more teams will focus on getting to the paint instead of chucking?
