Torn vag
So looks like he's at least a week away from playing again. Ugh. I have no idea what the he's dealing with but hopefully he gets healthy eventually and stays that way.
If anyone is wondering who we play on that road trip:
Clippers (November 10th)
Warriors (November 11th)
Lakers (November 14th)
Kings (November 15th)
I'm worried about Splitter. Pop said recently that his back issues had carried over to his nerves. This sounds eerily like the injury that ended Steve Nash's career.
Spurs really should be on the look out for Splitter insurance unfortunately.
Nash is 10 years older with a lot more miles on him. Hopefully this is not a Nash type situation.....
Nevertheless, it's starting to sound like some kind of disc problem that is affecting his calf. It is cause for concern at this point.
Splitter is a very important part of the group.
I hope they can put the lineup back together sometime in the near future (outside of Mills). SA needs to start stacking some wins together at some point in the near future.
Anyone know whether that's good or bad news?
Diaw had an inflamed disc back before the postseason started in 2013. Missed two weeks after a small surgery.
inflamed disc is as nonspecific as it gets ...
I think Diaw had a small synovial cyst compressing his nerve root.
Yop, my bad.
They should've traded Beli for a big, the frontline is too fragile...
Why are Brazilian NBA players so fragile, tbh?..
Splitter has had back spasms since two years ago, uh? He lost some games due to back spasms back in 2012/13.
I don't know how good are the San Antônio doctors, but it could had been detected for a while, before it had aggravated.
There's no secret about it. Probably Splitter has some herniated spinal disc and it's affecting the sciatic nerve. It's common in elderly people.
There are some specific physical exercizes like pilates that prevents the disc pinching the sciatic nerve. But the right treatment is surgery, I guess. I'm not a doctor.
