I get the feeling KD wants to go to the west and beat the Warriors.

I can't imagine the low key poisonous environment in Phoenix.

Meanwhile Brooklyn tumbles out of PO contention, although they were already liminal anyway. Houston's picks they got get much more valuable. Atlanta has much more room to make the picks we just got worth less in the next several years.
I don't know what happens with Kyrie, but a team with Ayton, Simmons and Kyrie isn't missing the playoffs. Especially with all 3 having a chip on their shoulders.

Spurs could be lucky the KD request didn't come until Dejounte, and limit the potential bids.

He’s too much of a beta male. He would join them again instead

A potential positive side effect of a KD trade is a third or fourth team with cap space will likely be needed to help facilitate the trade. Anyone know a team that could do that?

After officially completing trade with Hawks today, the Spurs are expected to waive F Danilo Gallinari, sources tell ESPN. As a free agent, Gallinari will be able to choose among contenders in both conferences - Woj

I expect Gallo going wherever KD is going

I’ll respect Lebron , I’ll respect Curry but I’ll never have respect for Durant. And honestly his rings don’t mean a damn thing to me anymore.

Only two of Curry's rings matter, the first and this last one, if that one was pretty cheap.

More evidence that Durant/Westbrook/Harden was always going to fail. A “leader” that bails every time he has to face adversity and can only play on teams with Big 3s and two of the NBA’s biggest cancers.

How? Durant wouldn't have Atlanta on his list.

What teams are starting to figure out is that players have no loyalty to them nowadays. It’s going to be very interesting going forward bc let’s say Phoenix does get him and they lose the next two years and CP3 is washed. How long until KD asks for another trade? These organizations have to start thinking along the lines that the players are only gonna stick around for 2-3 years.

But if I were Brooklyn, I would announce to the world that KD wants a trade. See everybody’s best offer and if I like none of them then tell him to get his ass back in our gym. He has 4 years with us and really no real leverage.

It would be a smart move for him. Kick Jock out of his house. Spurs can trade him to a contender at the deadline for a second rounder.

I couldn't stand Durant long before it became popular not to, but I don't blame him at all for this.

Since the Nets sent a bunch of their picks to the Rockets in the Harden trade and have no incentive to lose, I'd prefer the Pelicans (Ingram, Daniels, other youth, extra picks) to Suns (Ayton, Bridges, picks) just because Ingram can give them the poor man's Durant replacement as a first option type.

Once again the Lakers probably get lucky. Westbrook, Horton-Tucker, '27 and '29 1sts wasn't cutting it when the Nets had Durant to appease, but now good luck doing better for Irving who can walk in a year.

If both come to fruition, at least it significantly decreases the odds of the Warriors or S bag ringing.

I kind of feel like KD, achilles injury KD, just feels like a risk not worth taking for most teams. He's 33. How many years as a dominant player post achilles injury? I can't see him being good beyond 34 and last playoffs he was mighty awful, albeit against a great Boston defense.
