Undrafted Lofton giving Chet the business. It is Summer League, but the weight is definitely a problem for Chet’s defense.
fitst one definitely looked like an offensive foul tbh, based on how he was using his off arm

They don’t have to finish in the top6 in the East, they have to finish with the 14th or better overall NBA record, and not lose a playin game. The draft isn’t compartmentalized by conference. Their pick would just have to be between 17 and 30, regardless of conference standings. The could finish 8th if there are 2 WC teams that have worse records, but make the playoffs, and they don’t lose the play in.
Well... technically they don't have to have the 14th or better overall record either. They could have the 6th record in the East and have every Western team have a better record than every Eastern team, so they'd have the 21st best record and still pick at 17 because the 7th and 8th seed in the East would pick 15 & 16. You'd have a better chance of Putin winning Nobel Peace Prize, but still

You're right. I'm still assuming the West is better than the East overall but that hasn't been the case recently. The Hornets just need to make the playoffs and have a better record than at least 2 other playoff teams for their pick to fall outside of the top 16.

That's certainly more possible than just them finishing top 6 in the East. We might end up rooting for the West 9 or 10 seed to make the playoffs for exactly this reason.

The Grizz have two “fat guys with skills” in Lofton and Roddy. Interesting. I like Roddy but even I was surprised they traded up to get him. Anyway.

Eh, sucks that Sochan is out, but I was more interested in everyone else. He's more of a multiplier anyway, so the formless quality of summer league doesn't capture his skills, really.

he's are most NBA ready pick in forever. people went insane last year wanting PRIMO in the starting line. They know what they got cuz soch is an player from a major school with plenty of tape. It's fine if he skips bc we got barlow.

We have no idea if Sochan is fully recovered. I wanted to see him too, but this wasn't going to determine his future.

I would understand keeping Sochan out of one or two games of summer league so he can regain his conditioning. But to keep him out of all of it? My goodness.

Regardless of anything in this video, Holmgren is still going to be an excellent help defender.

I don’t even care at this point. Sochan is irrelevant as long as the Spurs are tanking hard

    preview of the starting lineup?

wesley with the ball at the top of the key makes him look like the pg, imo

If we go according to this clip:

    Pg Wesley
    Sg Branham
    Sf Primo
    Pf Woodard
    C Barlow

Sucks Sochan is out, but my first impression in a Spurs uniform I would rather have him at full capacity without any excuses.
Regardless i'm really excited to see Primo, Branham, Wesley, and Barlow. Gives more time for Barlow who is a very intriguing prospect.
