It's annoying how many casual fans accept that toxic behavior. "Make him go to LA." Such a sad state the league is in now and how fans eat that up with all these guys bolting.

Maybe but Spurs blowing a lot of winnable games throughout the season didn’t make matters easier

    Memphis plays Portland on Wednesday

We take care of business against the Heat and we can be the 8th seed again! the 7th seed is even up for grabs. Also Dallas is floundering a bit. Lakers are still sucking. This 6-10 seed thing is really exciting and I have no idea where we will end up

No benefit to 9th seed over 10th seed for the Spurs.

    Yep, I know.

Apparently, the Warriors know that too.

Well the spurs run have made things interesting.
7 is the magic number for play in spot.
11 is the magic number for 9th seed. ( assuming gsw dont come back from 33 point down)

In terms of tie breakers. The spurs have done themselves no favours losing tie breakers with
    Gsw
    Memphis
    Dallas

Portland tie breaker is up for grab om 8th of may

Fear not. Our final 12 games are historically daunting. I wouldn't expect more than 3 wins, especially if DWhite is tapped for the remainder of those games and the other teams we face are not resting their players down the stretch.

I dont find more than 3 wins and thats being **generous.**

3-9 will likely put us in the 10 or 11 spot. There's hope yet.

With the Spurs having the second-best road record in the league (shocking but true), it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Warriors tank to get to 10th. It would make the Spurs play at home (if the Spurs finish 9th of course) and gets them a slightly higher pick if they don't make the playoffs.

All those years of Durant being there. They deserve it tbh.

It looks likely that Portland will finish 7 and Golden State will finish 10.

If so, the Spurs will battle Memphis for 8 & 9.

The difference is significant. If the Spurs get to 8, they can mail in the game at Portland and have an elimination game at home in their back pocket (although I know home isn't so much home anymore).

Should be interesting down the stretch.

Would not put any money on portland getting that 7th seed
    They have been playing late.
    They also have dificuilt shedule
spurs have the toughest shedule but golden state and memphis have 2 of the easiest.

So it really could go any way.

I thought the same thing when I looked. Two almost feels more likely. Spurs will likely regret giving away so many games against sh!t teams before this last stretch.

If you want the Spurs to make the playoffs, root for them to land at #8. That way they only have to win once, and on the road where they have been much better than at home. Even a loss in that game gives them another chance, albeit at home.

Jokic may have just assured the Spurs a play-in game. NOP storming back with unexpected clutch play from Ingram against Denver, Joker swats Zion near the rim from behind to tie the game. Those refs will definitely get a quiet fine from the league there.
