I forget who said this but it's starting to look obviously coordinated now. That can grate on people.

Even to people who like being told who to vote for. Also the move was pretty immediate from the candidates to the host of endorsement he's gotten overnight from the entire party.
They also do it in hopes that they get picked as vp

Right, a bunch of hypothetical polling (those polls worked wonders for Hillary) with no emphasis being given to how past presidential elections actually worked. They’re literally doing everything to try and predict a future presidential election other than studying how past presidential elections worked

Even though they provided the “would not vote option” that doesn’t solve for the huge swing in voter turnout election by election. Your average American participating in a poll study isnt going to admit there’s a scenario where they wouldn’t vote at all.
Well, now you're saying something different. At first it was "this is intellectually dishonest, apples/oranges, etc..." Now its, "polls don't work." And the key is that they focused on those who changed from "would not vote" to "Sanders," which addresses part of the problem you identify.

You were talking about two different sets of data/arguments.

Serious question - why did this glorious study not spend one iota of time analyzing past presidential elections when its entire purpose was to project for a presidential election?

Email the authors and see, but from skimming the paper, it seems they were focused on how people changed certain answers based on who the respective 2020 candidates were and extrapolated from there. The focus is on how people's answers vis a vis the current candidates can be extrapolated to turnout. Take as much issue as you want with that, but I don't see how past presidential elections are all that relevant to turnout in the current climate with the current candidates.

    But past congressional races are

It’s relevant because people participating in polling studies isn’t the same as people living in the real world on Election Day. If we were like the rest of the modern world and had holidays on Election Day it’d be different but it’s not. The single mother participating in the poll hasn’t accounted for what happens when she needs to pick her kid up from school but sees there’s a 2 hour line where she’s supposed to vote.

Time for Castro to get on board the Biden train. Biden represents Texas Dems better than Warren IMO.

    How is she nutty?

Odd endorsement btw. You'd think she'd endorse Bernie. She's highly progressive from what I've seen.

Seriously tho, after Biden gets curb stomped by Trump, what’s the centrist excuse going to be? Will it be similar to “he just ran into a buzzsaw” like the excuses made for Kerry in 2004, or will it be of the “he just wasn’t a very likeable candidate” Hillary Clinton variety?

Where do you see him losing tbh?

He, like Bernie seem to be doing well in the 3 states the scab lost. Plus Biden has Florida trending his way while Bernie can barely crack 20%.

I think you're discrediting Biden's likeability just because he's a moderate and not in your mold.

Yes, Bernie will be toxic to voters in the general but will also have not campaigned enough for Biden.

I wanted to give Warren the benefit of the doubt but never mind Warren staying in the race is definitely a Sanders hit job. Some former candidates are going to endorse Biden and other former candidates viewed as more progressive will try and split the progressive vote between Sanders and Warren with like this.

    What a ed up process.
