Ultimately the game is about putting a ball through a little ring. #1 on the list is #1 for a reason. Possibly the best pure shooter in history. Go back to Game 6 in 2013. Even after Ray Allen made that 3P to tie the game, there were still 5.something seconds left. Put Steph Curry on that Spurs' team, and chances are it never goes to OT.

It's your list, and I know that you know it's a sort of crazy what-if list. But for me it's a no-brainer. Steph and out.

Yes, Curry would def help the Spurs tho.
    Freak is my #1.

And to think there were people that wanted to trade Murray + for Simmons. I said it back then and will say it again. I would not trade DJM for simmons straight up much less us having to give up more.

    13 did not.

Spurs should be extremely careful in the event they get a sniff from a player either currently or looking to be top 20 paid.

#1 is #1 on the list because of how max contracts work. He’s one of the few who didn’t switch teams / require cap maneuvering (costs them slightly). Guys further down the list haven’t played long enough to get the same max yet.

Wow now that you mention it....
Only 4 of the 20 players have been on the same team their entirety.
    Curry and Thompson.
    Freak.
    Rudy Goober.

Would that reason be the scam collusion pulled with Durbetta?

No telling what Curry, Thompson, Mouth Breather Green and other Golden gots would have done had they not colluded.
    We'll never know.
I could easily see Curry and moreso Thompson have perhaps gone South to Lakers - Warriors LA with Lebron had the Durbetta loser team not happened.

They won a le without Durbeta in 2015, and lost in the Finals in 2016. They weren't the prohibitive favorites that they would be with him, but they would have been le contenders or champions every year.

2015 another of the most injured opponents years ever.
2017 Prime Kawhi finishes the job imo before Zaza happened.
2018 the Durbetta charge changed to a Lebron blocking foul to collude Game 1. Along with JR Dumb .

3 of the most over rated Championships of all time.

Hera made me promise that every time I get in a dumb argument with a mortal, I have to put a drachma in an urn. I want to point out that GSW went to the NBA Finals five years in a row. Or that they had b2b2b seasons of 67, 73, and 67 wins. Or that Steph makes 300+ 3-pointers pretty much every season, unless he's injured. Or that he holds the single season record for 3-pointers, at 402.

But I'm not going to say any of those things. It's not so much the drachma as it is the smug look on her face.

Thanks for this. I dont have the energy for this… but some fans are so homers that there really is no enlightening them. I would do good as well to follow Hera’s advice, because the worst blind person is the one who doesn’t want to see. Thanks for keeping this real.

Myself i think State would have done everything to keep Curry regardless.
And like most (not all) he would have stayed where the most money was.

To think he would not have considered SuperTeaming? Sheeples who are out of date.

Get them TFO with fair reffing and those phucks are gone by all 3 Spurs teams.

The thing that I think most ridiculous is, why does he wait until the off-season to have Op on his back. Obviously he is not gonna play in season.

It really is mind boggling. He could have opted to do the surgery at any point during the season (if his claims are true that the issue has been bothering him a while), and no one would have blamed him for sitting out games.

Instead, he does all this talk about "being disrespected" and "mental health issues", then the back thing comes out but he still says he's going to come back and even gets cleared for Game 4 before deciding not to play.

    Kawhi-esque, one might say.
