Tell us about these states that have a realistic shot at turning blue.
Arizona, Colorado and Maine comes to mind immediately.

Arizona won't. The only reason they believed they would in '16 is because they'd targeted Arpaio & the Dem's figured once they got in that booth they'd pull for Penzone/Sheriff & Clinton for President. No. They waited till well into Wednesday before they finally called it, but, it was never in doubt.

i never saw trump as the "reasonable candidate" that independents would gravitate towards

our voter participation rate is ty, right around 66% in general elections. you are better served riling up your base to come out in big numbers than trying to win over swing voters. i dont think thats the ideal scenario, but until we boost voter participation, it's the reality.

I guess you don't see the possibility of Bernie turning out voters who didn't vote in 2016.

    To vote against Bernie.

    I am one.

I'm talking about senate races, not general.

Universalizing from the particular very much becomes you.

You don't seem to be catching on that Sanders is expanding the electorate to people who don't usually vote, not just turned off Republicans like you.

Own her by following her around and standing behind her...

    That was so weird.

Trump probably did that on purpose to get a reaction out of her. I mean everything he’d done up to that point had been unorthodox anyway. I was just surprised that he was able to get so many sound bites against her and catch her in so many gotcha moments.

    bull

Its amazing how all the Republicans on this site ostensibly didn’t support Trump 2016 and are considering not supporting him in 2020.

Bernie seem to have espanded his coalition. He now has a respectable hold of black and Latino voters with him. 27 and 41. That's double the amount from 2016.
Either Bernie was a more electable candidate in 2016 than Hillary or he wasn't.

I literally thought he had no chance because of the polling.

My wife and I went to a bar with our Hillary supporting friends and we were shocked. It was like that SNL skit, tbh.

Especially for anyone running with a D next to their name. Biden and Bloomer aren’t going to do any better with Republican voters than Sanders will.

Mark my words. If Sanders is the candidate, there will be massive turnout in people 45+ against him.

    You can bump this later.

Harry Reid should've let Bernie challenge Obama back in 2012 like the rumors say. There would be no Bernie today had he challenge Obama like they said.

First of all, challenging an in bent president.

Challenging an in bent president that much like Trump does now had and still has an aproval rating of 97% among democrats.

Normal people. It's not so much that they loved Hillary, but that they hated Trump.

You asked me what kind of chances Bernie has in Florida and I told you nearly zero. This further proofs my point that he has a better shot in Texas than Florida.

He's really going to have to asnwer a lot of the socialist thing even though I myself dont have a problem with it. But he has to convince the older voters he's not an actual communist.
