What a bull call to give Rodriguez those gifts. I thought I was watching the NBA there.

Honestly, that was the worst ing call.

Bogut just said post game that's what you expect from FIBA and FIBA referees, questionable calls

    Shades of Timmy.

My crappy frontrow stream (thanks for the link - no one!) cut out during the last play. Not sure what happened. Can't even get replay. Did Australia get screwed? Did Pau make a play?

Sweet play by Australia, they ran a counter to the usual hammer play and got a wide open elbow jumper for Patty.
That was such a great play and one I haven't seen them run the entire tournament. I hope the Spurs steal that one, tbh

Too bad the refs ed up the final play to favor Spain, that was a no call, Patty doesnīt initiate contact is not in the restricted zone. The offensive players gets on him, and while he is moving so itīs not a offensive foul, it is also not a defensive fouls as he is not in the restricted area and cleary avoids contact as much as possible.

Absolutely horrendous blocking call against Patty cost Australia bronze, tbh

If you mean Australia's last play - they messed up, the ball somehow went to backcourt... no shot attempt.

    btw.

Pau & Patty had a great tournament. Good news for Spurs fans.

Thanks for the update. That sucks. I could tell it had something to do with Patty and maybe Pau. Cheers.

FIBA and NBA both, need to apply either automatic review and confirmation for all dubious calls in the last 2 minutes and or the chance for teams to challenge calls as itīs done in hockey.
Games are being decided in the last minutes and with the continue advance of technology itīs becoming more evident that the refs are having more influence on the outcome than what they really should.
You cannot have a sport, scrutinised with the newest of technologies and yet maintain a calling system that uses 1920 technology. Even the video ref used in the NBA is still not enough as only if the ref want they review and only for reviews that donīt really matter.

I absolutely agree 100% with this. I have no idea why they continue to give referees that much power to decide games when the technology is there the help get it right.

    Agreed.

Real shame Kobe took so many shots away from MVPau.

And "offensive genius" Mike D'Antoni could figure out how to use him.

    You're right.

Kobe's ego, Odom's "habits", Bynum's laziness, and Gasol's untrue women (and dislike of D'Antoni) plus the exit of Phil and rise of the Buss children capped it at 2.

    Thank god.

if team usa didn't have deandre jordan... can't believe he isn't starting over cousins. fiba is deandre's game to dominate tbh.
never mind, not surprised coach k doesn't start deandre. he chose irving over john wall
is coach k on spurstalk? that was before he changed the lineup.

    irving without lebron

cavs should try to swap him for cp3 tbh. maybe doc being doc would pull the trigger on paul/griffin for irving/love?
