+2500 of our children brought back thru Dover, AFB, dead as door nails and thousands more blown all to back home once again with ma & dad, because the divorce rate for these ravaged children is quite high.
Yeah but a bunch of old dudes got rich. In that sense, the war was a roaring success!

Neither do I. Plenty of Muslims around here. Good people, conservative, a real boot straps mentality. Afghani's will probably become the Muslim equivalent of Cubans for the Dems.

Government Report: Pentagon Had ‘Willful Disregard’ for Reality in Afghanistan

A new report from the Special Inspector General of Afghanistan Reconstruction is a damning condemnation of America’s war effort.

The 140-page report, led What We Need to Learn: Lessons From Twenty Years of Afghanistan Reconstruction, is a damning list of failures. It tells the story of an ineffectual empire with no plan, no will to learn, and

no idea how to do anything but spend money.

Much of the report is a brutal condemnation of a historic failure, and some of the anecdotes are simply mind-boggling.

“The U.S. government did not understand the Afghan context and

therefore failed to tailor its efforts accordingly,”

“U.S. government agencies rarely conducted sufficient monitoring and evaluation to understand the impact of their efforts.”

So Capitalism does great from the war business, nobody else gets anything.

The images of the end of the Vietnam war were embarrassing and yet they also symbolized an end to a terrible decision and a cutting of our losses, both of which were ultimately in America's best interest. We may see something similar with this when we look back years from now at this past week.

Turns out we learned nothing from Vietnam and we're already starting get some feelings for the Taliban. Just-like-that. Didn't take long, "Just don't slaughter us on the tarmac, please."

    "Si', senor'."

"Perhaps we can sit down and share diplomacy, some day, soon."

"Sure, we want some of that endless supply of the cash you American's have."

    Let us proceed...

600, the crew decided to take off anyway

This stunning photo shows 640 passengers crammed into a U.S. Air Force C-17 that safely evacuated them from Kabul on Sunday, after the panicked Afghans rushed the massive cargo plane's half-open ramp.

    • Instead of trying to force the refugees off, "the crew made the decision to go," a defense official told Defense One.

God bless that crew — and these Afghans abroad!

So is it safe to say that the War in Afghanistan was a racket under the guise of nation building to enrich a select few on the backs of the Afghani people using American taxpayers to fund it all?
This we knew a long time ago... finally we have a President with a backbone to stop the grifting... draining the swamp!
