Even after a year of hearing about him and the upcoming QB class, I can honestly say I know nothing about him. Every other QB I have an opinion on, but I just draw a blank with this cat. Don't think I've ever seen him play, tbh. Are they projecting him as first rd?

Bills Center Eric Wood retired...he was one of my favorite Bills, but was declining due to injuries in recent years. Glad he made the playoffs before dipping out. OT but I played craps with him in Niagara Casino several years ago and he got to 5 on his fire bet. Good dude, now we need to draft a replacement

Never seen anything as stupid as the combine. Way too much is put into this silliness.

Does a guy love the game? How wil he deal with injury? Coachable? Intense about winning? Will sudden $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ change him?

Those are the things that really matter. We know these guys can play football.

Guy can run a 4.4 40, can jump a mile, can knock out some weights, ok.........what does that have to do with can he play football?

You ask any RB about what he was thinking on that run, he will tell you.....I just react, no time to think, just instincts. Way too much is put into a planned situation at the combine, that isn't football.

that's why the 2011 lockout needed to happen, paying rookies who haven't proven a damn thing exorbitant amounts (more than regular veterans) was stupid stupid stupid.

wild article, speculates the possibility of andrew luck being traded to cleveland, giving the colts 3 picks in the top 5

its not a rumor at all, just a fun hypothetical

Size with speed, totally a black thang.

    230 pounders running 4.4 40's, wow~~~

Marcus Dupree, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, could all run the 100yards in 9.5, all around 230. This Barkley kid another big fast RB.

The fastest RB to ever have a 1000 yard NFL season was Texas A&M/Colts Curtis ey, he was running the 100m in 10.10 back in the 80's, and was world ranked***. He was a 220 pounder, with massive thighs.

A good 40 for a RB is anything sub 4.60.

*** only NFL RB to be who was world ranked at 100m in history. Olympic 400m bronze medalist Ollie Matson was World ranked in the esrly 50's.

Avante:. Combine is stupid. Who cares about their time in the 40?

Also Avante:. This cat can run a 4.4 and the number one really needs to look at is a 4.6 for a RB.

I totally agree, why they even bother with it....???

But.....since we do have it if a team is debating a couple players, with one running a 4.43 and the other a 4.63, chances are.,.......................

Actually a 40 is too long, we should time the 20.

raiders lost the flip, so SF will be picking #9, and Oakland will be picking #10

its looking like a real possibility that 4 qb's will be taken in the top 10 (darnold, rosen, allen, mayfield). would be great if that's the case, leaving more talented position players to fall to #10.

its basically a given that barkley, chubb, fitzpatrick, and nelson will be top 10 picks. if the raiders land Roquan Smith they should be pleased... with fallback options like Vea, Edmunds, or Ward

If I'm in charge of who becomes a Niner.

I want to know if the guy loves football, can he actually talk the sport? If I say,....what about Jerry Rice, adf he tells me....."the very best, and he ran a slower 40 than I did, a small school guy"....cool~~~ That love for the game VERY important.

Is the guy a cool dude, or some street thug? I will find that out. I want to know his history. I also want guys who came from a stable home. yep, a mom and dad.

Getting back to the 40. Guys will never be faster than they are their rookie season, then every season a little slower. So if a cat starts out at 4.40. he's going to be a 4.60 in 4/5 season, if the cat is already at 4.60............hmmm?

I put a lot into overall team speed.
