I am kind of fuzzy on the nab salary cap rules but do the spurs have a midlevel exception they can use to sign a free agent after they re-sign Diaw? (Hoping that he re-signs with the spurs)

If so, What is the possibility of signing Channing Fry to a contract and letting Bonner go. And trading/amnestying Ayers.

    That would give us
    (5) duncan, splitter, diaw, frye, baynes in the front court
    (3) leonard, daye, anderson at SF
    (6) parker, mills, joseph, ginobili, belli, green in the back court

Fry would really help spread the floor.

    1) Yes, we will have a mid-level exception even after we resign Diaw. Starting salary of $5.3M for up to 4 years.
    2) Possibility of signing Frye? If he'll take the MLE it might be decent. But people are getting stupid high contracts right now. It just depends on how it shakes out.
    3) Bonner can walk if he wants.
    4) We cannot amnesty Ayres.
    5) Who would want Ayres in a trade? I would take some hard shopping...the good thing is that he is on his last year on that contract.
    6) Baynes is a restricted free agent. He must be resigned also (or accept his qualifying offer).

I think we should keep Diaw away from Fry or else he might balloon again.

The Spurs can re-sign their guys, use the MLE, use the bi-annual exception, sign Anderson, and sign minimum players (subject to having enough roster spots). They can trade or cut Ayres or Daye or anybody on the roster, but Parker is the only amnesty-eligible player. (His is the only contract old enough.)

He is dead, and not long after he had Kennedy done away with.
