That's some terrible luck damn At least we will have a fresh Holland for a potential post season run, but that's really more of a gray lining than silver.
Due to knee surgery. Dog caused him to fall down the stairs at his home and he tore cartilage in his knee. Next season starting to look bleaker and bleaker...

The dog is Hollands story but there is reports that he was out playing hockey the night before. Anyway it looks
like he will be out till somewhere around mid season.
Yep..he was...I'm going with a hockey injury over tripping over his dog. We're gonna have to pick up another pitcher.
Did he at least trip over his dog while doing the Harry Caray voice and having stupid facial hair and not taking his job seriously and generally being the immature jackass he is?
If that story about him playing hockey the night before is true...
It's reported today that Holland had micro-fracture on the knee and not just a tear. Good luck having him
back at mid season. How does that look for a long term.
Yeah he's prolly out the whole season now. Wouldn't of mattered much anyway, this roster won't be making any noise in the postseason.
you're an idiot
We'll just have to wait and see. I really don't think Fielder and Soo Choo in place of Cruz and Kinsler will make the team better.
Fielder will take you guys to the Playoffs but that's about where he'll start disappearing
You kidding?
First off, Cruz was gone for 50 games last season, and the team still won 91 games. I think Rios did a solid job of replacing his production. Maybe not power-wise, but he did a great job of manufacturing runs and played great defense.
Fielder is a MONUMENTAL upgrade at 1B over Moreland and Baker.
Choo is a major upgrade at LF over Murphy/Gentry.
The main question mark is can Profar replace Kinsler well. Defensively, he should be an upgrade. Offensively, we will have to wait and see, but things look positive that he certainly won't be a weak point.
I think Profar will be better than Kinsler offensively. For one, he doesn't pull everything to left field and sit on bad pitches down the middle. His speed is on par or better than Kinsler, but his baserunning is unproven imo We need a full season with him as an everyday starter to know for sure.
His decision-making on base running can't be remotely as poor as Kinsler's though. And Kinsler seemed to be slowing down a bit this year. In the past, even with his boneheaded mistakes, he still got a lot of stolen bases. This year he didn't do nearly as well.
Baseball players having to get injured outside the pitch 'cause of course they can't get injured playing the "sport"
Baseball
Soccer
Flopping got Euros
0-0 ties
Fat third world got fans singing during games
Fat third world got fans rioting over 0-0 ties
Players paid an obscene amount of money to run around, hardly score any goals, and pretend to be injured
Refs that make Tim Donaghy look like an upstanding, honest man
NASCAR is more of a sport than soccer
You know the butthurt is big when Clipper Nation and thunderup stand toghether
What butthurt? I'm just proud to follow real sports instead of soccer, tbh
