WR Antonio Harmon out of Mississippi with Texas in his current top three, alongside Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He's been a personal favorite of mine for a while due to his height/weight/speed combo.

Despite not making his Top 5, 2022 CB Jaylon Guilbeau of Port Memorial has committed to Texas. Not really surprise though.

IT continues to hint they feel really good with the Cooks and Mukuba recruitment. These two along with 2 DL's Regis and Turner (preferable) and the defense is set.

  8. #2683
Just my opinion but defence is already set. In number of bodies.

15 returning DL.perfect number. Plus three DE seniors who could return.

13 LBS returning about 5 or 6 too many.

18 DBS returning perfect number. Plus two srs. options. Sterns could go pro. and Foster could finaly quit Who knows?

My take on the defence based on roster numbers. 46 players on ships about five or six too many for defence side of team.

i don’t care what the 9.95s say. It doesn’t sound like Texas.

    Such's update this Morning:

Mukuba had four FutureCast picks come in for Clemson yesterday, but in checking around with a couple other Rivals reporters today, I'd put the confidence in those picks as moderate at best. Basically, Mukuba has done a good job of keeping everyone guessing and nobody truly has a good read on what he's thinking.

either way is fine with me. the defense is stacking up players; it's the OL that needs depth

Amen. See my post a few post back. Defence has too many bodies at present time.

Only two senior DBs (Brown, Coutoumanos) but there are seven juniors (Cook, Green, Jamison, Thompson, Estell, Foster, Sterns) and so far (and this could change) I dont see any of them ready to leave for NFL so they need separation in the junior class. that may happen naturally due to the COVID free eligibility year but if they all graduate at the same time then the depth chart takes a huge hit

InsideTexas lists four potential OL takes:

Jacoby Jackson (6-6/320), OT, Mansfield Summit
Erick Cade (6-5.5/313), OT, Denton Braswell
Max Merrill (6-4/275), OT, Strake Jesuit
Ty Buchanan (6-5/280), OT, Corpus Christi Calallen

Personally, I really like the 6-5/280 hard working, lunch pail type players. I remember when Cosmi was committed and I thought, oh geez, at 265 pounds it's going to take him 3 yrs just to get to playing weight or change positions; man, was I wrong. It seems to be easier to put on good weight for linemen than for already overweight linemen to lose weight.
