It's almost too good to be true. Somebody pitch me. Our farm system just got awfully good, and with Salty and Gabbard ready right now, this is just cake.
LHP Beau Jones
Listed as the Braves 10th best prospect

Freudian slip?
3 pitchers for Tex, that's what the i'm talking about. if just one of those guys pans out, this is a successful trade.
If the Braves win the Series, it's worth it.
...and extend Tex.
the 2010 Rangers will be in the playoffs! haha it sucks but at least this thing has got some direction and knows what it's doing.
Finally got some left handed pitching, now lets keep these kids.
Gabbard
Harrison
Jones
Yeah, the amount of lefties is great. I am very encouraged by the moves. Maybe we didn't get better right away but it's like the team took one step back to take two steps forward. Maybe three.
haha how did it take so freakin long to learn that lefty ground ball pitchers are the best guys to have when you play in the Arlington Wind Tunnel?
man, i'm giddy....i've got alot of hope for this thing again. and now there's no John Hart to it all up. Hopefully Daniels is finally figuring things out.
BY FAR Daniels finest 24 hours with the Rangers
Props to Daniels. If I were a Rangers fan, I'd buy him a case of Mountain Dew and Funyuns.
I admit, I was worried when they were taking so long to trade Tex. I thought he might negotiate himself out of the deal. But , he traded him in just enough time to open the trade floodgates for everyone else. It's like all of baseball was holding their breath to see what they did with Tex, and then the trades happened.

John Daniels - "Dude, just for fun, I'm gonna give Saltalamaccia a 99 power rating! It's gonna be sweet!"
No, I think we should call it even now.
Maybe I'll stop throwing up in my mouth every time I see John Danks on the mound in a White Sox jersey instead.
Yeah, I will try to forget about the absolute disaster he made with Young and Gonzo.
Beau Might or might not be big league talent, but he is good right now.
Soriano too
This deal looks exactly the one between the Brewers and Diamondbacks a few years back when Sexson was traded
McCarthy too.
he's right handed
Gabbard gets the start tomorrow night in place of Wright. Let's see what he's got against a good Indians lineup.
From what I'm hearing, Gabbard really isn't a great prospect, but he pitched very well so far this year so the Sox "sold high"....but they're projecting him to be a solid 5th starter, and a solid 5th starter for any other team is probably a #3 for Texas.
