Slightly more worried about Jocko. How does a 7 ft starting center only get 2 boards (lowest in the starting lineup) in a win or go home game?

This man just started on a team that won the bronze medal in the Olympics, he has no business playing with children in the summer league.

Didn't watch the first half but part of it was Luka forcing a switch for him in the perimeter. Taking him farther from the rim and also limiting his minutes.

We can start him over Yak as far as I care. Love Yak, but having a 3 point shooter at the 5 would feel like a hot rail of meth at this point, so to speak. (For comparison, watching Forbes play 30 minutes a night...more like a fork in the eye, but I digress.)

His jersey will be in the rafters some day. People will argue about whether it's deserved or not....but if we retired AJ, Elliott, Bowen, etc, then Mills definitely meets the qualifications. 10 years with the team, great leader in the locker room, and a huge part of the 2014 championship
I would limit the jersey retirements to guys that contributed heavily toward a championship. Patty had a long run as a Spurs player but his role on the 2014 le team was close to insignificant . But they're probably going to have Patty up there just for his longevity in a Spur jersey.

I don't think Patty should be in the same category as the guys up there now that are the best of the best for the most part, but what a fine career he had in San Antonio. He was a key bench player and was a very positive influence on the team.

He was a great representative for the Spurs organization. A great teammate. I'll always be a fan of Patty.

Would not shock me if he rings in Brooklyn next year.

Some resolution is coming soon, it seems. If timvp is right and the Spurs have a bit of cap space left, they're likely going to have to use it within a day or so.

Is the assumption still that this guy and Forbes split the room exception?

That's my assumption, but it's unlikely he's going to take cap space at this point, and you have to declare how you sign a player when you turn in the contract.
