Man I love cooking a burger, but I hate the cleanup on my cast iron after since I get that ripping hot, make a couple of really thin patties and put a hard crust on them and then melt cheese on top... which leaves my pan looking like and then I gotta clean the er and re-season it. Sometimes easier to grab a ty Whataburger where there is no prep and no cleanup.

Yeah cooking a burger or steak on cast iron is amazing but the cleanup is ing dreadful. I almost prefer a cast iron steak over putting it on the grill because of how good I’ve gotten at cooking it in cast iron.

It seems that most of the evidence points to covid not affecting kids much - what do you want - to keep them locked up for years? What about the loss of education, income for parents, etc? Most of the kids are not out now - so most likely it's not them causing the e - it's the boneheaded young adults who are congregating and not wearing masks.

Meh. masks. Either give it 100% or not at all.

Besides, distance learning is better anyway. Works with more peoples' schedules, no more commuting, buses, no more kids getting bullied at school for not dressing like the other kids, and you're spotting kids an extra 30+ minutes of sleep by having online education. Plus, less operating expenses (A/C, cafeteria labor, etc).

Online education is a win-win for everyone involved.

Just pan-sear it in a regular, non-stick pan with a little canola oil or butter. It's just as good as anything except maybe the grill, but you're not eating benzopyrene with pan-seared. Win-win

Do yuse guys use the chain-mail scrubber to clean your cast iron? I've been using it to clean my cast-iron and wok for the last few years...makes it super easy.

I just started doing that and it definitely helps.

Quite frankly if I just cleaned right after I ate it wouldn’t be a big deal but I’m usually lazy wait until the morning after

Kent Rollins (think thats his name) has some good videos on how to take care of a cast iron skillet and cook steaks on it. Makes clean up way easier
