he was an incredible player tbh... his ability to seemingly ALWAYS convert in the paint no matter how many bigs were cluttering the lane. half the time i was surprised he even got a shot off.

he made plays like this just seem so routine it was absurd

basically this video from 0:57-1:35. and that was just one of his moves

too bad, he could have been one of those guys who played his whole career for one team, IMO that's pretty special, but I guess the money is more important

It's either that and/or he was more hurt than he let on, maybe not so much with being demoted, but with being phased out. Think he wanted to stay if they truly wanted him to and not just because they felt obligated.

If the Hornets stand pat, the only way he'll have have a "significant" role, is if in addition to backing up Walker, they force feed him some minutes alongside him. That would be stupid because it would come at the expense of Monk (as bad as his rookie season was, he's still one of their 2 best prospects and they're a fringe playoff team either way).

Tony was a great Spur! I'll never forget his many one-man fast breaks, clutch shots and focus over so many battles. I used to love how he and Nash went at each other. At his peak, #9 was an unguardable force.
It was amazing to see and sometimes hear Pop screaming at him. He took that better than any 19 or 20 yr old could. It made him the player he became. That is to his credit as a human.

what about the spurs winning B2B, with both games in double OT?

Tony and Baron Davis going at each other nearly one-on-one

It was really better for him to leave not because of the Kawhi drama but because he was washed up. Even if he played for a discount he would still hurt the development of the younger players.

Happy for him that he got one last big contract and get some minutes in Charlotte...

Guys should play as long as they want as long as teams still keep giving them money tbh, good for TP

Gonna be weird without him around next year.

Helps hasten the youth movement, fully expect Manu to retire (probably already told the Spurs).

And doing Coach Borrego a solid to try to get him established. Hornets might just finish top half of hte East (not that it really says that much)

Special player and breath of fresh air. Painfully unathletic team and then all of a sudden here’s this 19 year old flash of lightning in transition. The crossover, the spin. I used to marvel at how he could finish at the rim among the trees. If he was close to the rim he could finish off glass from any angle. Played with balls and passion despite constantly taking a beating inside. A franchise all-timer and we were lucky to have him. Godspeed and see you around.

For the Spurs, onto the next...

Tbh. All fat jokes aside.... One of the all-time Spurs’ greats. Best PG in Spurs history. Huge part of 4 Championships. #9 Will be in the rafters one day.

Yep. Glad he got out. Playing behind murray is an insult. Even boner was better than murray.

Thanks for the rapping and the lebron dominance tp.
