Good thing we didn't tank! LMA retired and DeRozan led us to a high lottery pick to keep the treadmill going!

If our goal is to keep drafting role players, then job well done.
We can't tank. It's about preserving that winning culture which is getting <35 wins and barely missing the playoffs. Such a great atmosphere.

Can't forget that sweet, sweet playoff experience for the young guys. Guys like DeRozan with a lot of playoff experience can show that it's ing useless and you can still be a loser with it.

looked up _eRozans stat line... yep I don’t even have to watch to know the outcome with him. and people actually think we need that negative player to be some kind of iso closer? It’s like y’all don’t remember what kind of players it takes to actually win games. Players who shoot 3s and play D and do the intangibles not someone who does the total opposite I’ve been harping on it for 3 years now and seal clapping spurs fan still can’t grasp it
They probably still want him back too. . Really going to be interesting to see how they spin this one.

“Did we make the playoffs?” Well for sure we didn’t, again, with the same old plays from last season.

Well hopefully the Spurs will finally understand they need to see what they have with the young guys and understand they need better talent. So no to signing Derozz and let Rudy and Mills try to catch on a team that will give them a chance to get a ring.

Go into next year letting the youngsters know if they not shooting the 3 ball and playing sound defense they not going to get playing time. I don’t care if we only win 15 games I want to know for sure on who should we keep and who should we trade or cut.

So if we lost 10 more games, we’d be in the lottery with good odds of a top 3 relatively speaking. We win ten games to lose to the Grizzlies in the play-in. I just don’t see how that was worth it. Now we have the 11 or 12 pick.

Stop being an old fart and emphasize more 3 point shooting, get rid of Demar. Long ways to go before they get back to that winning culture.

    Hmm...
The only way they'll 'get better' is if they get away from their current group of veterans (who have only led to a down trending record) & really invest in their future.

Try to acquire extra picks, absorb a bad contract or two (which can still keep you in play for the '23 FA class) if need be and draft for need (shot creating, volume three - point shooting, size and/or defense) not BPA (trade down if need be).

Isn't that if they 'lose' the lottery and/or end up outside of the top 3?

Anyway, they can still get a good piece if they do their do diligence.

Jakob is probably a better defender, that has never been Jonas' strength, but Jonas is clearly better. He was better in Toronto too and has been given a lot more opportunity to produce since then.
Jonas had 16 shots, Jakob 6 - that‘s the difference and if your opponent is missing big, you can get to 23 rebounds pretty easily. ting on Jak is typical for ST. He was not the one shooting under 25%.

Oh I was just going by what tankathon had at the moment. I guess there's some hope.
