Last 30 or so days of the season (from March 10 on) could be pretty difficult, with GST and OKC 3 times each (though 4 of those 6 games are at home) in that span and Memphis 2 times and a game in Denver on the second night of a back-to-back that starts at the Warriors:

    3/10 v. CHI
    3/12 v. OKC
    3/15 v. LAC
    3/17 v. PRT
    3/19 v. GST
    3/21 @ CHA
    3/23 v. MIA
    3/25 v. MEM
    3/26 @ OKC
    3/28 @ MEM
    3/30 v. NOP
    4/2 v. TOR
    4/5 @ UTH
    4/7 @ GST
    4/8 @ DEN
    4/10 v. GST
    4/12 v. OKC
    4/13 @ DAL
Ending with Dallas in Dallas with the Mavs possibly fighting for their playoff lives may be no gimme either. (See, Pelicans, last year)

6 of first 8 are on the road -- interesting; with a long RRT in February, there must be some long-ish home stands.

    @ OKC
    v. BRK
    @ BOS
    @ NYK
    @ WAS
    v. CHA
    @ SAC
    @ PRT

Also a very soft start for the Spurs. Other than OKC, BOS, WAS, they really don't see a likely playoff team until Nov. 20 (@ NOP).

Yea, that jumped out at me.

81-1, tbh. We always lose to the Knicks.

As long as we go 16-0 in the playoffs afterwards, I'd deal with that imperfection.

I like this schedule: soft start, RRT looks relatively easy, and plenty of tough teams to play to ramp up for the playoffs. That is a perfect schedule for this team.
Yeah and in addition to the aforementioned "only" 16 back to backs and no 4 in 5, they're essentially home from April 9 until probably April the 22-23, particularly if seeding is wrapped up going into the finale and they can just rest a bunch of key players.

I actually like this schedule. The first two month's is fairly soft and will give the spurs sometime to develop chemistry. Also the low number of back to backs is great.

My completely "by the gut" quick scan says 62-20 and I'm usually pretty conservative. Like the schedule.

    This week looks particularly difficult:

    3/23 v. MIA
    3/25 v. MEM
    3/26 @ OKC
    3/28 @ MEM
    3/30 v. NOP
Second night of a back-to-back OKC. That looks like what Pop likes to call one of those "scheduled losses."

Yup, what's what I thought too. That last Dallas game could be a Pelicans redux. Hopefully the Spurs take care of their business early so it doesn't have to come to that.

Looks like I'll be flying to Portland November 10th and 11th for the Portland game. I was planning to make the first Spurs @ Portland game sporting an Aldridge Spurs jersey. Best and only chance.

Spurs tied for 5th in terms of games where they'll have more rest than their opponents.

League has it out for us

Like the prediction. Do you think 62 will get us the 1 seed in the west????? Just curious.

    RRT this year:

    @ MIA
    @ ORL
    @ LAC
    @ LAL
    @ PHX
    @ SAC
    @ UTA
    @ HOU

Not too bad. Mostly pushovers other than the Clippers and Rockets...maybe Miami.

I think that is where resigning Bonner is really going to help.

Low number of backs to backs along with rest time vs opponent is great. About f-ing time.

I'm calling 65-17 if the Spurs stay healthy. The holdovers are pissed and the new guys are hungry.

No four-in-fives is freaking huge. I can see Duncan and Ginobili playing more games than we might have expected, with slightly fewer minutes in each one.

Is it possible to buy tickets yet? Spurs.com only links to last year's games when I try.
