I did some of the Math, in order to come even close to matching salaries in order to get RoCo without sending any of our young guards back of course.... the Spurs would have to send Forbes, Marco, and Mezie... their salaries combined would total to 10,138,006 while RoCo is due 11,301,219.... how would that be able to work out?

Makes sense if for Morris, but the Spurs would have to send out more than Belinelli to make it work.
I can see Metu being thrown in to get it close enough.

I'd do Marco Forbes and a 1st for Covington. Not DJ, White or Walker though.
It's White, Walker, Murray. You can argue for White, Murray, Walker but regardless White is always first.

When naming the Big 3 Timmy was never named second, right?

and also has the fact that Carroll is a better basketball player
That too. I'd much rather have Demarre than Davis in black and silver. But even if it was to sign a healthy Durant I wouldn't renege on a deal and screw a guy over.

No reason to expect that Morris wants to give up a chance at a big payday next off season when the free agent market looks to be incredibly weak.
Sure, so you increase the guaranteed $.

You don't have to exactly match salaries. There is some wiggle room. ESPN's trade machine says that Beli + Metu for RoCo works.

    Damn. Forgot all about that.

Honestly, unless the trade substantially moves the needle, no one should be OK with trading any of our 3 main young players. All are on rookie scale deals, all have high ceilings. There's really no reason to trade those unless the trade puts you in position to challenge the Clippers as the best team in the West. IE if Golden State calls you to trade Steph you listen, but for Covington? Lol no.

Which makes the trade harder to complete as you have to match salaries (you can't take more than you send) in a sign and trade.

Doesn't apply to sign and trades.

Maybe I'm wrong on that requirement. Looking over the CBA FAQ I can't find that specific requirement anymore.

Also a tibit, you can S&T a renounced player.

Lol about Love being brought here. The trolls who talk about Aldridge and Derozan not showing up for the playoffs would have a field day with the underperforming big three.

PATFO doesn't care about message board chatter nonetheless. I don't want Love.

Not if you extend the number of years, only need to match first year.

Yeahhh...go back to San Antonio who spurned you the first time, or stay in Los Angeles with Kawhi and PG for a legit le shot?

Spurs were never going to win that battle even if they offered him free tacos for life.

After seeing Walker's progression so far, I think Walker is the most untouchable Spur. Literally we have a possible super star while White may be a Pop favorite like Hill was, front office and fans must be really excited about what theyve seen from Walker so far. White I think will make a couple defensive teams and/or win sixth man award. Eitherway, present and future looks exciting.

White is approaching his ceiling, Walker and Murray still have room for growth. They both have more physical tools.
