On one hand, he might really be injured, and trying to get a second opinion. This whole situation may have just been blown out of proportion...

But if he is truly hurt, then whatever injury this is obviously can't be fixed by surgery, or rest. If patfo offers the supermax extension it would be on hope & prayer that whatever soreness has been plaguing him for the past 12(+?) months suddenly goes away

Or on the other hand, Kawhi saw patfo back the brinks up for pau and patty and clocked out before the season started.

Either way, it doesn't look good. If he is injured, I would hope patfo won't wait around for his stock to dip.

His stock is already . Unless some desperate GM throws the kitchen sink for Kawhi it might be in the Spurs' best interests to hold onto him for now.

Got to speculate that among other GMs his stock is low now with the injury being an unknown. At least unknown to SpursTalk.

He would need to play some, return to his kick ass MVP status and then you could have trade offers galore.

Don't see how he could win a Chip here with the idiotic offers PATFO doled out.

If LMA could kick ass in the playoffs, even in a 1st round ouster to the Twinkies, wow that would up his trade value.

Healthy Kwa + a solid season + playoffs from LMA, wow a real FO could get some real return for that.

Don’t offer super max and go for LeBron...LeBron probably signs +1 anyways.

Hold onto him. No general manager is going to give up much for him after all of this bull . Force him to play next season at a high-level if he wants any kind of payday. He still gets more if he stays. Make him earn it.

    Somewhere LaMarcus is laughing....

”I thought I was outta there too”

Granted, LaMarcus is laughing on the court and on the bench during home games....

If Kawhi had been legit hurt, has legit recovered and is willing to agree to an Embiid-like contract that gives the team a way out of most of his deal if his knees flare up again.

This. According to whatever sauces have leaked whatever information, we’ll get nowhere near the value back for Kawhi...all this assuming he’s traded/mad/FO’s mad/etc.

Have you guys seen some of the suggested trade scenarios? AWFUL

Uh, I would say it would be ideal for him to stay in San Antonio if he could actually get on the court and play basketball. You know. That thing he's paid to do but won't.
