All of these other franchises are trying to improve their franchises. Whether that is bringing in talent to win now or trying to rebuild with young talent and high draft picks. Are they perfect? no. Do they make mistakes? Yes. But the spurs are all over the place with no focus, strategy or clear course. I’ll eat my words if the FO miraculously trades DDR, LMA, Gay and mills for good assets but we all know history shows us that is highly unlikely to happen.
The Phoenix Suns are now a more attractive free agent destination than the Spurs. Damn PATFO
Disagree. Appreciate your blind loyalty and optimism. But you’re trapped in the past. We’re talking about post-Duncan spurs here. I’m a hardcore fan since the 80s. It’s ok to point out issues with the franchise when you see them. Seems to me you feel like you would lose your fan card or something if you call out issues with the team. You won’t. it’s ok. Should try it sometime.

Spurs can pay him more unless GS is dipping into the disabled player exception for Klay (did they get it yet?). GS has the taxpayer MLE ($5.7mm) and Spurs have the full MLE ($9.2mm), though for the Spurs to go that path it would put them into the tax and they’d have to move Mills or Gay out with less salary coming in.
Not sure Batum is worth anything more than the taxpayer MLE though. Agree he’s be a decent fit.

Denver really took a dip this off season losing Grant, plumlee and presumably Millsap. Jamychal green isn't imposing at all.
Clippers too. Losing montrezl and missing out on Rubio and Chris Paul. Of course free agency just started.
