The Heat “Vice” set serves as proof of concept. A Fiesta-themed City set would sell well nationwide. The “Aztec calendar” pattern from 1995-96 has a Chicano cult following.

But the lazy SS&E marketing department won’t pursue it because it doesn’t “fit the culture.” The culture now is pretending that they had anything to do with the 1997-2017 era, and blaming their failure to fill seats on socioeconomic data from 20 years ago and alleged “fan apathy.”

How can any fiesta colored jersey be considered a retro Spurs jersey when its never existed and been worn in any game.

    Only warm ups.

    ing boggles my mind.

Because we are talking about it being used as the city edition jersey not the retro. Just like the Heats Vice jersey. The colors can definitely be considered retro for sure though. Don't get that mind too boggled.

Move the stadium out of the ghetto and more people will go to games / do something before and after in the area.

Haha oh man. This is probably too colorful, I like the black with a little bit of the fiesta colors.

Because using the colors would be using retro colors for the Spurs. City edition/retro

I’d be more interested if they went back to the old court for a couple of games lol. It’s crazy these days to think NBA games were played on that thing

I always thought it was a paint palette behind the Spurs logo.

I agree. I am fine with just the court being old school bc we never had fiesta color jerseys. The raps change their court multiple times a year based on their jerseys so why can’t we. Those colors have a connection with true culture of the city more than black and white do tbh. Also I miss the days when the spurs actually played downtown and you felt connected to the city. Spurs messed up cheaping out and putting the stadium on the east side.

This 100%. The floor would be how those nostalgic feelings would be captured.

I wish PATFO would finally release the Fiesta jerseys instead of the Camo. We had a little more Fiesta colors on shirts and logos last year, maybe they'll finally figure out that those jerseys would sell out like crazy

Anything is better than those godawful camo jerseys.
