What game were you watching. In fairness Patty held his own even when switched to Porter and even against Jokic, albeit with great help defense. 3 steals and 0 turnovers. Come on.
Calling Patty a poor defender is ridiculous at this point. He’s developed into a decent team defender and isn’t a liability out there, and does create some steals.
It’s like people are assuming he’s the same as Forbes without even watching the game. Forbes is one of the worst defenders in the league. Patty isn’t.
