I recommend the 12GB over the 10GB because they're usually the same price and the 12GB is 7.5% faster in this big testsuite of games, though I wonder how much of that is clock vs the 12GB version having a less cut down chip than the 10GB version (it's not just a difference in VRAM). Plus I have heard people with ans say for instance modded Skyrim can easily fill 12GB of VRAM.
Though Best Buy has a 3080 Ti for $740 in stock right now. Don't know anything about the cooler so def research that before buying if you're interested in this one.

Beware though these 3000 series cards use enormous power. A 3080 Ti at has transient es of ~410W at stock, and it's not much lower with 3080 either. Up clocks at all over reference and that number will shoot up. If you're talking that level of gpu, not unreasonable to go back up to 1000W psus again.
Nvidia is supposed to have some big price cuts rumored this month, but they haven't happened yet so not sure about them.
