Unfortunately, there's far too many idiots with an antiquated mindset, who still think this should be solely about raw numbers, as if they're not cir stantial and dependent on a myriad of factors, from minutes to teammates to system to individual priorities. It's beginning to change, as evidenced by the Korver and to a lesser extent, Green hype, but that line of thinking is still prevalent, so inevitably they'll be backlash.

A lot of people also think this should only be about this season, but it's never worked that way. The previous season has always factored in, as has reputation, stature in the game and team record and though the Spurs record isn't what everyone is accustomed to, let's face it, if they were even reasonably healthy, they're probably in 2nd or 3rd right now.

The issue isn't Tim making it. His raw numbers (especially for his age) are very good and his team is actually winning despite having massive injuries to key players. Boogie has great numbers and is equally as deserving, but people value impact/winning so Tim gets the nod.

It's not the coaches selections (mostly) that cause the "snub" it's the fan voting. Dame should have been there over CP3 and/or Durant. If it's just this years play, no way CP3/Durant have a case over Lillard.
CP3 and Durant were both chosen by the coaches. The only player that the fans got wrong was Kobe, and he'll be replaced by one of the snubbed players.

Timmy will be devastated to hear that.

If Lillard was in for Kobe and Boogie in for Durant, then everything would be pretty much exactly how it should be. You could argue someone like Conley over CP3 as well, but Clips do have a good record in the West.

I'm talking in general. CP3 probably deserves to be there, just not over Lillard. But Lillard should be in over Kobe. Boogie should be in over Durant, but their record is even worse than OKC's and Durant is Durant.

I get Cousin's beef. He is a of a player. But the real beef should be with KD. He has missed more games than He has played. Whatever. Truth be told it's just the ASG. It's not All NBA. That's what matters.

Injury roster replacements are picked by the league. Kerr will pick who starts in Kobe's place.

    I told you so

Next year I don't care. But the Spurs legend, the denominator of 5 championships deserves this invite whether he will play 5 minutes or 30 in NY or not.

A lot of people saying Boogie Cousins should be there, and they have an argument.

But how about Lillard..? I thought he was a shoo-in. So tough in the West, especially at the Guard position.
Cousins will be there for Aldridge, and Lillard gets Snitch's spot.

The coaches choosing Duncan over Cousins is a no brainer.
Kerr would clearly vote in Duncan over Cousins 100x over. Imagine having to survey the bench and see that big whiny settn thar.

Had he played a lick of D last night on Kyrie... already got chewed out by plenty of Blazer fans on Twitter for suggesting that he's a one way player.

Congrats to the legendary TD. Hope he goes, has a great time, and asks Kerr to play him only 10 minutes or so.

Only two players this season with 14pts, 10 rbds, 3 assts.

But Duncan is shoulder above that trash-talker. Being the reigning champ & better conference record (Spurs #6 /Kings #12), are just 2 of the reasons..

He was? , I gotta pay closer attention. I forgot he decided not to get surgery. Oh well, Cousins.
