ing Yankees will win it now.
You say this like the Dodgers wouldn't have pissed down their legs in a hypothetical series against the Yankees anyway. They're the epitome of a regular-season team.

I do think whoever comes out of the Rays/Astros series will at least give the Yankees a tough series, though. Don't think you can take much from their matchup against the Twins when they've mentally owned that franchise forever.

Yankees match up horribly with the Rays tbh, and if the Astros make it they have every bit as much talent.
Horribly? Very vague/blinded comment. You must still be in shock seeing what the Yankees did this season considering what they overcame with on a historical season of injuries. They are still rounding into form.

Kershaw is in another stratosphere of choker compared to him, or any NBA player in history. I literally can't think of a single sporting figure who compares to Kershaw in that regard.
That's easy: CP0. He and Kershaw have pretty much redefined the word "choke."

Both teams have elite bullpens while their starters are hit or miss. The biggest difference is that the Yankees have a bunch of boom or bust players while the Rays play more small ball which is much more successful in the postseason. Yankees should obviously be favored but I see a 6-7 game series.

I will say this: it's not just Kerchoke, the Dodgers' offense was incredibly undisciplined at the plate. Seager especially looked like Mark Reynolds the way he was swinging at everything. I know some of that is just how the game is played nowadays, but still, you don't always have to swing at the first pitch.

The Dodgers have a serious problem with a team full of playoff chokers who are now pressing in every playoff game because they're so desperate to avoid failure, as well as a manager who goes into panic mode as soon as the playoffs begin.

Yankees have also tweaked their approach. They grind out ABs now (remember, "Savages in the Box"), which was definitely done with a potential Astros matchup in mind, since you ain't beating that staff by swinging away, as the Rays are showing. Yankees weakness is starting pitching, of course. Severino can look good against the Twins all he wants, but that guy is meltdown waiting to happen. 5.33 post season ERA. Tanaka is their only lockdown guy. But I do agree if it's the Rays, they'll be a dogfight.

They have too heavy a reliance on three true outcomes. If they're not hitting homeruns or extra bases, they seem incapable of scoring. The club is allergic to small ball.

Yankees are now massive favorites. Even if Astros progress they are burning their arms. There is no threat remaining in the NL side of the bracket.

    Dave Roberts replaced?

I say no, Dodgers too worried about disrupting cash flow.
But I wonder if AIDs Johnson and the other partners are down with Roberts.

If the Rays win, it's home field advantage the entire series for the Yankees

As some in the reddit thread pointed out, teams with less HRs in reg season have won every series so far.

MLB cheating for the Cards as per usual. 2012 infield fly and 2011 WS strikezone all over again.

But seriously, MLB needs to pick a ball and ing stick with it. I hope they stick with this non juiced up version for good.
