Bring it! Shut the city down.
http://www.wunderground.com/news/win...coast-20140120Thursday evening, however, that should change to a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain from west to east across this I-10 corridor into at least southwest Louisiana, including areas from San Antonio to Houston.
As the temperatures fall, at least some ice is expected to build up on bridges and overpasses, especially as moisture from the earlier rainfall freezes up on untreated pavement. This will lead to a potentially hazardous commute Friday morning in these areas.
Bring it! Shut the city down.
I doubt anything that comes down will stay at all. It's been too warm lately for anything to stick.
I suspect the city will wet itself after some ice patches form on one random bridge and shut down.
Ain't it like the first time in your southerners lives to ever see snow/ice outside your refrigerators? you guys have every reason to feel excited tbh.
that, I'm going to Denver to fight it on it's own turf.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Lol, an email was sent out this morning to preemptively state that we are going to be open tomorrow.
Ahh but remember this is Texas, where everything can completely chage in a matter of hours.
Supposedly another round coming next week as well
Temp projections have risen a lot since yesterday. Weather underground now has a low of 34 tomorrow morning.
What? The cold front?
Never get any snow out here. The 1/4 inch it snowed that day in Feb 2010 was the most since the 80s, right?
It's actually sleeting a tiny bit in downtown Austin.
It's been pretty much a steady hard drizzle for the past two hours in Bulverde. From what I understand this is just the beginning. Not really looking forward to the mess this might be once the temp drops to freezing tonight.
Feb 2011, it snowed quite a bit out there
We got quite a bit in 2011 as well, but ours was in January.
We got a very light dusting today. Probably snowed for 30 minutes or so and quit.
getting some nice snow and ice right now about hour north of Austin.
The ice was staying on the ground a bit in my Brentwood backyard, but none on the street out front.
Well someone was wrong as it was already at 31 degrees at 830 pm
20 car pileup at mopac/290
That's one of the few good things about SA. A light feathering of ice and the city explodes and shuts down.
Temple?
Killeen/Ft Hood area which is near Temple. this area is covered in snow, so i imagine Temple is as well.
