40 year old Mayweather would never agree to fight a slugger like Golovkin, tbh. Maybe if he was 32-36 again

I guess he can fight that clown Garcia, that'd be a big payday and an easy decision unless Mayweather's chin is gone.

Seems like he just wants that novelty fight with McGregor, big payday there and it might be Mayweather's fist KO in a while

I can see AB as a tune up fight but I'd imagine Showtime pushing for a bigger name for his # 50. I wouldn't mind Canelo II or even Pac II...

Floyd's making noise. if he does come back it gonna be for the biggest possible check. He needs to fight either Thurman or Broner. Broner because of the history and Thurman because he's probably the best at 47. Garcia had a rematch with Khan that's a manditory and before Khan's tissue chin got in the way, he was working Garcia.

Thurman is another fighter I'd like to see but from a style POV, it's an easy decision for Mayweather even at 40, same with Brook.

McGregor is too easy, but there's money to be had there. I think Mayweather can slap the guy to a knockout, it'll be embarrasing to see an mma fighter try to box the greatest of a generation.

Its ts an easy decision against most guys for Floyd probably because he's not gonna exchange and just pick you apart. Last few fights have been wash, rinse, repeat. That Canelo fight was a masterpiece and probably his last great performance

ashy, on a serious note, do you think this canelo would do a better job against mayweather?

Styles make fights. We've heard that over and over again. Floyd is not gonna give Canelo the angles that he wants. He's not gonna exchange with Canelo but I think Canelo would do a lot better because in that first fight, he tries to box with not just a boxer but a master boxer and defensive specialist. He would just have to make it a Maidana type fight and continue to press the issue. Not give Floyd any time to rest.

That would be terrible for Canelo, tbh. He lacks the stamina to fight at Maidana's pace for 12 rounds, heck I doubt he could pull off 8 at WW.

Agreed with Mitch that he can't do that. Dude takes off half the round every other round. I don't know if Floyd would drain him again for this fight too. (152 their first fight)

The fight everyone wanted him to fight the first go around was the Oscar blueprint. He could do that. I don't know if he ever will though. Might be too proud to try and bully Floyd.

I I just feel his best way to win is make it a brawl or an ugly fight. Floyd's not gonna give him any chances to land a clean shot. Dude is quick to clutch and grab. Canelo is a decent boxer and superior puncher. Just don't see how he can win if he doesn't pressure Floyd, throw more punches and steal rounds by being the more busier fighter.

he had the same problem that Oscar had in that first fight. A non existent jab. When Oscar thee the jab, it was effective. Then he just stopped. And if Canelo is asked to come down to 52, he should pass.

He will have to figure out how to have a gas tank to be as busy as Floyd, then. My bet would be he would need to stay at or under 160 when he walks in the ring and that should let him at least give Floyd 9-10 rounds of pressure fighting. Otherwise, Canelo just doesn't have "it" to beat Mayweather. He's got a punchers chance to catch him like Mosley did and would need to follow up unlike Mosley.
